Matt Riddle Says Dana White Is An Asshole
UFC veteran Matthew Riddle left the sport of professional MMA in 2014, following a submission win over Michael Kuiper at Titan Fighting Championships 27.
Riddle, who is now a professional wrestler, had some unkind words for UFC President Dana White, which were said during a FloSlam documentary.
"You know, I get this question a lot. And sometimes I'm like ’Oh f–k that dude Dana White.’ Because he is an a–hole. He was really cold-blooded towards me. And if you think about it, the situation I'm in – if you knew one of your employees had their third child and was still doing good work, but failed another drug test – maybe he needs help, right? Maybe you can go another route with this. But he went the route that he did, called me a loser and all that. I'm not the biggest fan of Mr. White. I don't think he has good business ethics, I don't think he does things properly, I don't think he treats people properly. I think a lot of people would agree with me. I think that's about it. I could sit here and bad-mouth him all day, but at the end of the day, I just don't think he's a good person. Does that mean he's not going to be successful? Probably the opposite. He'll probably be extremely successful for the rest of his life because he's a mean person, and bad. But at the same time, I think that's just kind of how the world works sometimes,” says Riddle.
The pro wrestler spent the majority of his pro MMA career in the UFC, where he got wins over such notables as John Maguire, Greg Soto and Demarques Johnson.
Currently, Riddle holds the Progress Wrestling Atlas Championship and he is a part of Catch Point in the Evolve promotion. Riddle is also a contributor to Fightful, where he podcasts every Thursday.
