WSOF Releases Sheymon Moraes
Former World Series Of Fighting Bantamweight Title challenger Sheymon Moraes has been released by the promotion, according to a report by MMA Fighting.
Moraes fought for the promotions bantamweight title at the WSOF 22 against then champion Marlos Moraes in a loss came by third round submission.
In his other fights with the company, Moraes earned three victories over the trio of Gabriel Solorio, UFC veteran Robbie Peralta and Luis Palomino. Moraes' last fight in World Series of Fighting came at the WSOF 31 in June 2016, where he defeated the aforementioned Palomino.
The Brazilian star has been at odds with the promotion, speaking out against the lack of fights they've has given him.
The former title challenger primarily competed in his home country of Brazil before signing with the WSOF, his biggest win came over UFC veteran Pedro Nobre at Bitetti Combat 12 in September 2012.
He'll exit WSOF while riding a two fight winning streak, a winning streak that has lasted well over a year at this point.
It is unknown yet where the Brazilian bantamweight star will sign next, but this is the latest in a line of fighters leaving the WSOF. Former bantamweight champion Marlon Moraes and former two division champion David Branch also parted ways with them recently.
