Bianca Belair Earns Future WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship Opportunity

The EST of WWE will have a chance to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship back.

At SummerSlam, Belair was supposed to defend her title against Sasha Banks, but it was announced that The Boss would be unable to compete. After Carmella came out and tried to claim the opportunity for herself, Becky Lynch made her long-awaited return to WWE, challenging Belair to a title match.

After Bianca accepted, Lynch would need only 26 seconds to pin the champion and win the belt.

On the August 27 episode of SmackDown, Lynch came out and said that she had been preparing for this moment since she announced her pregnancy in May 2020 and relinquished the Raw Women’s Championship. She then rejected Bianca’s request for a rematch later tonight, saying, ‘another time.”

A number one contender’s elimination match then took place between Belair, Carmella, Zelina Vega, and Liv Morgan to determine who would be next to challenge The Man. Bianca and Liv were the final contestants, with Belair winning after hitting the Kiss of Death.

When Becky and Bianca will do battle has yet to be revealed.
