Chris Jericho Earns Match With MJF On 8/18 AEW Dynamite, Stipulations Announced

Chris Jericho has passed the four labours.

On Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho was able to overcome Wardlow, using Floyd The Bat and a Judas Effect to down the muscle of The Pinnacle.

As a result of Jericho’s victory, he earned a match with MJF on the August 18 episode of AEW Dynamite. As for the stipulation, MJF announced that Jericho will not be allowed to use the Judas Effect and he won’t be able to use “Judas” as his entrance song. In fact, if Jericho uses the Judas Effect, MJF will be declared the victor.

After the bout, MJF locked Jericho in an armbreaker, attacking the same arm Jericho injured at Blood & Guts.

Jericho was able to make it through the first three labours, which included a victory of Shawn Spears where Spears could use a chair, outlasting Nick Gage in a deathmatch, and turning back the clock to defeat Juventud Guerrera with a top rope move.

Here is the updated lineup for the August 18 episode of AEW Dynamite.

AEW Dynamite – August 18

– AEW World Tag Team Championship: The Young Bucks (c) vs. Jurassic Express
– Sammy Guevara vs. Shawn Spears (Plus a major announcement)
– Texas Tornado: Sting and Darby Allin vs. 2.0
– Chris Jericho vs. MJF (Jericho can’t use Judas Effect)
