A boxing bout between former UFC champions Anderson Silva and Tito Ortiz is reportedly in the works.

According to MMAFighting’s report Triller Fight Club is planning on holding the Silva-Ortiz bout as part of their upcoming September 11 event from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California that will be headlined by a main event bout between former six-division world boxing champion Oscar De La Hoya and former UFC light heavyweight champion Vitor Belfort. Silva went 34-11-1 during his MMA career and recently made a successful return to professional boxing by defeating former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. via a split-decision back in June. Ortiz however has never competed in a pro boxing bout before and has gone 21-12-1 as a pro in MMA, defeating Alberto El Patron via a first-round submission due to a rear-naked choke at Combate Americas 51 in December 2019 in his last outing.
