The prelim card for UFC 265 saw an excellent assortment of fights, including many finishes, and a brilliant fight between Bobby Green and Rafael Fiziev in the featured prelim slot. Check out those highlights and everything else from the UFC 265 prelim card after the jump.

Rafael Fiziev def. Bobby Green via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28)

In an amazing technical brawl, Rafael Fiziev and Bobby Green went to war, in a fight that saw Fiziev get the narrow decision win. The fight was an incredibly high level kickboxing match, with neither man backing down for even a second. Green clearly poured on the damage in the 3rd round to clearly win that round, but it just wasn’t enough as Fiziev narrowly edged him in the first two rounds. An excellent fight.

Vince Morlaes def. Drako Rodriguez via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28)

In a back and forth fight that never really got out of first gear, Vince Morales got the decision win over Drako Rodriguez. It wasn’t necessarily a bad fight, but it was an incredibly unmemorable one.

Alonzo Menifield def. Ed Herman via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Alonzo Menifield chopped Ed Herman’s legs to pieces very quickly, and then proceeded to land a littany of heavy blows to Herman. Its stunning that Herman survived through the end of the fight, not only on an incredibly compromised leg, but also his chin was tested numerous times by Menifield, but he did survive long enough to hear the final bell.

Jessica Penne def. Karolina Kowalkiewicz via Submission (Armbar) (Rd. 1 4:32)

In a battle between two former title challengers, Karolina Kowalkiewicz followed Jessica Penne down to the ground early in the round, and was almost immediately swept and spent the rest of the round fighting off a variety of dangerous submission attempts before an armbar was finally sunk in.  Kowalkiewicz has now lost five straight, and this will almost certainly be her last in the UFC.

Manel Kape def. Ode’ Osbourne via TKO (Flying Knee and Punches) (Rd. 1 4:44)

In a fight that was mainly a cagey counter-punching affair, came to an abrupt close when Manel Kape landed an explosive flying knee right on the chin of Ode’ Osbourne right before the first round came to a close. While this was an explosive finish, that would normally be a contender for a performance of the night bonus, unfortunately Kape missed weight by three pounds, so he is ineligible.

Miles Johns def. Anderson Dos Santos via KO (Right Hook) (Rd. 3 1:16)

In a very one sided beatdown, Miles Johns chopped Anderson Dos Santos’ legs down in less than 3 minutes, and the rest of the bout was Johns piecing up a clearly compromised Dos Santos. Dos Santos withstood massive damage, but eventually a crushing right hook followed a heavy body blow to shut out the lights on the double tough ADS.

Melissa Gatto def. Victoria Leonardo via Doctor Stoppage (Broken Arm) (Rd. 2 5:00)

Melissa Gatto dominated the first round with some very slick, and aggressive grappling, flowing from a few positions and submission attempts. The second round was also for Gatto, but mostly through moving forward and scoring first while standing. Despite clearly losing the first two rounds, Victoria Leonardo was game to go back for the 3rd round, but the doctor’s wouldn’t let her due to a cracked forearm.

Johnny Muñoz Jr. def. Jamey Simmons via Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) (Rd. 2 2:36)

After a back and forth round one, Johnny Muñoz utilized his very slick grappling game to secure a takedown early in round two, and after a bit of back and forth, his superior jiujitsu let him get to the choke by the mid-point of the stanza.
