IMPACT Wrestling Results for 8/5/21 The Elite vs Edwards, Kazarian & Callihan

It’s a huge Six-Man Tag Team match tonight at 8pm EST on AXS TV!

Good evening Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage for tonight’s edition of IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV!

Chris Bey (w/ Jay White) vs Juice Robinson (w/ David Finlay)

Chris and Juice start the match off with Chris immediately dropkicking Juice and stomping him in the corner before kneeing him out of the ring and a missile dropkick once Juice is back inside for two. Chris counters a suplex and jumps on Juice’s back and choking him before Jay and David get on the apron and distract the referee before Juice drives Chris back into the corner. Chris hits a bulldog for a deep two count before Juice gets his knees up when Chris goes for a standing moonsault before Juice hits a spine buster. Juice hits a running clothesline in the corner before hitting a cannonball and rocking Chris with jabs before Jay and David brawl to the back. Chris then hits a springboard cutter for the pin and the win.

Winner: Chris Bey defeats Juice Robinson via pinfall.

– After the match Chris and Jay celebrate on the stage before Jay gives Chris a Bullet Club shirt, effectively christening him the latest member of the current form of the Bullet Club.

– Kenny, Don, and the Good Brothers are interviewed backstage before they’re interrupted by Violent By Design as we go to commercial.

– We get a backstage interview with Fire N’ Flava ahead of their tag match against Jordynne Grace and Rachel Ellering later tonight.

– We get a video package recapping Homecoming from this past weekend before we go back to the ring for our next match.

– Matthew Rehwoldt and Knockouts champion Deonna Purrazzo come out to the ring and celebrate becoming the inaugural Homecoming King and Queen before they’re interrupted by Mickie James. Mickie gets into the ring with a contract for Deonna for a match at NWA: EmPowerrr before Mickie introduces Deonna’s opponent Melina and the two face off before signing the contract. Deonna then stands and holds her title before Mickie and Melina leave together.

– We get a backstage interview with Taylor Wilde as we go to commercial.

– We get a vignette for Su Yung and Kimber Lee.

Jake Something vs Daivari vs Rohit Raju vs Trey Miguel

Everyone end up outside before Trey hits a tope and takes everyone out as we go to commercial.

We come back from the break to everyone back in the ring as Trey hits everyone with running moves in each corner before Jake takes him out and pins Daivari with a black hole slam for the win.

Winner: Jake Something defeats Daivari, Trey Miguel and Rohit Raju via pinfall.

– Backstage Rohit and Shera complain about the outcome of the match that just occurred before Rohit nearly comes to blows with Matt Cardona before Shera and Raju leave as we go to commercial.

– Backstage Daivari interrupts X-Division champion Josh Alexander’s interview before challenging him to a title match.

Fire N’ Flava vs Jordynne Grace & Rachel Ellering

FNF go right after Rachel and Jordynne before they’re ran over and double team Tasha before she counters a muscle buster attempt and tags in Kiera who takes control. FNF isolate Jordynne until she gets the hot tag to Rachel off of a double suplex counter before Rachel hits Kiera with a neckbreaker and makes her DDT Tasha. Jordynne comes back in and hits Kiera with a flurry in the corner before hitting a Vader bomb and Rachel a diving leg drop for a near fall that Tasha breaks up. Kiera then superkicks Rachel for a near fall before Rachel hits an assisted black hole slam for the pin and the win.

Winner: Jordynne Grace and Rachel Ellering defeat Fire N’ Flava via pinfall.

– After the match Kiera and Tasha talk before Kiera is laid out by a new mystery partner revealed to be Savannah Evans before she and Tasha leave together.

– Backstage Frankie Kazarian is interviewed ahead of his teaming up with Eddie Edwards and Sami Callihan to take on The Elite as we go to commercial.

– Violent By Design are outside of Scott D’Amore’s office before he comes out and they ask for a match against The Good Brothers before Rich Swann and Willie Mack come out of his office.

Steve Maclin vs Local Talent

Steve attacks his opponent when he is on the top rope during the introductions before beating him down and putting him in the tree of woe and hitting a low spear. Steve then finishes his opponent with a reverse DDT for the pin and the win.

Winner: Steve Maclin defeats a local competitor via pinfall.

– After the match Steve is ran off by Petey Williams with a chair.

– We get a backstage interview with Chris Sabin after his losing to Moose last week and the two being pulled apart by security.

The Elite vs Eddie Edwards, Sami Callihan & Frankie Kazarian

Everyone brawl at ringside before it’s Kenny and Sami in the ring and Kenny counters an early attempt at a piledriver before Sami suplexes Kenny and tags in Frankie who drops the triple champion as we go to commercial.

We come back from the break to The Elite in control of Frankie until he gets the hot tag to Eddie who drops Karl and low bridges Doc before hitting machine gun chops in the corner. Eddie hits an enzuigiri before Karl hits a diving neckbreaker and tags in Kenny who hits an elbow drop for two before The Elite isolate Eddie until he gets the hot tag to Sami. Sami chops and drops Kenny repeatedly before stomping him in the corner and everyone hits a move until The Elite triple team Sami for a near fall. Frankie then saves Sami from a Magic Killer before Karl hits Eddie with a spine buster before Eddie hits a blue thunderbomb and Sami hits Eddie with a piledriver on the apron. Eddie then pins Karl with the Boston Knee Party for the win.

Winner: Eddie Edwards, Sami Callihan, and Frankie Kazarian defeat The Elite via pinfall.

– After the match Eddie celebrates in the ring before he’s attacked from behind and powerbombed by W.Morrissey who leaves soon after as we go off the air.
