Super Porky Passes Away At The Age Of 58
Super Porky (real name Jose Luis Alvarado Nieves, also known as Brazo de Plata) has passed away at the age of 58.
Mas Lucha announced his passing during their show. No cause of death was given.
CMLL put out the following statement (translation via Luis Pulido)

CMLL joins in the mourning that is encountered by the Wrestling family for the unfortunate passing of Jose Luis Alvarado Nieves, also known as Super Porky (Brazo del Plata), a gladiator that marked an era in Mexican Lucha Libre.Rest in Peace To forever, Super Porky.

Super Porky made his debut in 1977 as Brazo de Plata. He wore a mask until 1988 when he lost a mask vs. hair match against Villano I, IV, and V. He would continue to wrestle for CMLL for the next two decades before briefly joining WWE in 2005 as part of the Juniors division before his 2006 release.
He wrestled in AAA through 2009 before returning to CMLL. He last wrestled for CMLL in July 2016.
