UFC Vegas 32 Prelim Highlights: Mickey Gall Scores Flashy Victory

The prelims for UFC Vegas 32 saw plenty of action, with stoppages and excellent performances up and down the card. Check out all the highlights after the jump.

Brendan Allen def. Punahele Soriano via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)

Brendan Allen displayed a very strong striking output, unlike his usual grapple heavy approach, and came out ontop against Punahele Soriano. Soriano came out throwing haymakers but due to him throwing a bunch of heavy shots, and Allen peppering him with body kicks to sap his gas tank and get the win. Good scrap.

Nassourdine Imavov def. Ian Heinisch via TKO (Knee and Punches) (Rd. 2 3:09)

In a another great performance, France’s Nassourdine Imavov got the stoppage win over the double tough Ian Heinisch. Imovov came out with a variety striking approach, frequently going to the body. This is the first knockout loss of Heinisch’s career, so getting that name on your resume is nothing to sneeze at.

Mickey Gall def.  Jordan Williams via Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) (Rd. 1 2:57)

Mickey Gall looked like he’s seriously leveled up in his year-long layoff, by showing massive growth in his striking against Jordan Williams, and then quickly finished him off with his lethal rear-naked choke.

Julio Arce def. Andre Ewell via TKO (Punches) (Rd 2 3:45)

In his return to bantamweight, Julio Arce put on an excellent striking display against Andre Ewell. Arce mixed up his strikes beautifully, and his pin-point accuracy allowed him to get the stoppage standing. Excellent performance from Arce.

Sijara Eubanks def. Elise Reed via TKO (Ground and Pound) (Rd. 1 3:49)

Sijara Eubanks blew Elise Reed out of the water with a dominant display of grappling. She secured the takedown in seconds, passed at will on the ground, and after attempting some submission attempts just blased Reed with a nasty elbow and follow up punches that destroyed her eye, and caused the fight. Great showing for the former flyweight champion going back down in weight, and it was significant that she made 125 lbs, and didn’t even need the extra pound allowance.

Diana Belbiţă def Hannah Goldy via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

In a fight where defense was entirely optional, Diana Belbiţă defeated UFC newcomer Hannah Goldy. While Goldy was able to land headkicks at well against Belbiţă, she had no answers for Belbiţă’s accurate right hand. Goldy game on strongly in the 3rd, and ended the fight dropping some heavy ground and pound, but it wasn’t enough. Good scrap.
