Don’t You Dare Be Sour: Booty-O’s Is A Real Cereal Now
In the latest — and one of the strangest examples of life imitating art –Booty-O’s, the fictitious cereal that the popular WWE trio The New Day have been hawking for months now have become a real cereal.
Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods made the announcement Thursday as part of the WWE/Mattel panel at Comic-Con 2016 in San Diego.
Boxes of Booty-O’s will be available for sale August 4, and at the panel, Big Eaid pre-orders now are being accepted at FYE.com.
“Booty-Os is now an actual cereal for sale,” Kofi said, before Big E added. “Boxes are available at FYE.com,” Big E. added, “and the pre-sale launches today. It’s a very real thing. The cereal actually tastes phenomenal. It really does. We just tried it a couple days ago. It’s real.”
Fellow Comic-Con panelist AJ Styles joked that it was part of a “well balanced booty”
The thought of an actual Booty-O’s cereal bringing positivity to the breakfast table is the latest example in the rising popularity of Kingston, Langston and Woods, who have held the WWE Tag Team Titles for almost a full calendar year and arguably are the biggest breakout act in WWE in recent memory.
The New Day will be in action this Sunday at WWE Battleground, a pay-per-view event emanating from Washington, D.C.
Will this cereal take the breakfast world by storm or will its flavor follow in the forgettable tradition of the much-maligned WWF ice cream bars from the 1980s? Time will tell.
