Texano, Sexy Starr, Maximo Join Robles-Patron Promotions; Texano Comments
During a press conference today, Texano revealed that he was leaving AAA for Robles-Patron Promotions.
In a press conference, Texano explained why he is excited for the move and this next chapter of his career.
“Honestly, I am very happy to be a part of this new family, in this new phase of my career. It’s been a long while since I felt excited to experience something new in the world of Wrestling and, at this moment, I am going to sign because I believe it is the right time to give a turnaround to my career. Thank you for the invitation, thank you to my colleagues and we will give it our all. It’s a beautiful family with a lot of people that are well-known, and we will push forward with this new promotion.”
Speaking with La Tijera, Texano explained his exit from AAA stating that he is a very dedicated wrestler and has a proven track records end both CMLL and AAA but he was ready to leave his comfort zone.
“I am a wrestler that is very stable in the companies I am involved in. I was 8 years in the CMLL and I was in AAA for 10 years, so I am a guy that will wear the company colors with a lot of pride when necessary, so this time will not be the exception. As long as my body allows it, I will give it my all for this company (Robles-Patron).”
He continued, “Leaving that comfort zone is never easy but I needed to take the next step, professionally and personally, because I needed that motivator, that needs to push forward and appreciate how I would look inside the ring again. It was not easy as I got costumed to being there, kind of like when you are in a long-term relationship. I get the feeling similar to that because I will miss being around my colleagues and others, but a new person came to me and I welcome the opportunity with open arms.” He continued “A lot of what came to my decision has to do with my brother (Super Nova), as he opened my eyes to let me know that people want to see this Tag Team, they want to see me in this type of wrestling and they want to see the Texan-Blood Brothers together. As a single person would say, I tasted being single and I liked it, and for I got a button to prove for it.”
They’ve also announced that they signed Maximo and Sexy Star, who will be competing under her real name.
“She is not with us right now, as she is being a mom in Monterrey, but Dulce Garcia – Famously knows as Sexy Star, Sexy Dulce, Dulce Starr or however she was called – She will now go by Dulce Garcia. She will be with us sooner rather than later, but she will be in the card,” said Fernando Robles.
Del Rio added, “We have always supported the female talent that deserves the same place as us, the guys, and we will have them in all the events. The first show we televise of Robles-Patron will wrestle for the Women’s Championship.”
