Slammiversary Contract Signing, Number One Contenders Match, And More Announced For 7/8 IMPACT

The July 8 episode of IMPACT Wrestling is beginning to take shape.

On Canada Day, the promotion announced that Kenny Omega and Sami Callihan would be taking part in a contract signing next week. The two men are set to face off for the IMPACT World Title at Slammiversary on July 17. They came to blows during tonight’s 6-Man Tag Team Main Event, with Omega and The Good Brothers getting the better of Team Dreamer thanks – in part – to Moose not cooperating with Sami and Chris Sabin.

Additionally, Jake Something has challenged Brian Myers to a match. Jake is tired of being disrespected by the self-proclaimed Most Professional Wrestler and, should he win, wants Myers to acknowledge him as being professional. Myers accepted the challenge, but not because he wants Jake to call him professional (he already knows he is), but so that Sam Beale can watch him apply his teachings from the front row.

Finally, a number one contenders match for the Knockouts Tag Team Titles has been set. Rosemary and Havok asked Scott D’Amore for a Championship match, which he said he would take under advisement. Later, when Tasha Steelz and Kiera Hogan complained about possibly facing a team that hasn’t earned a title shot, he agreed and booked a number one contenders match against Susan and Kimber Lee.

Kimber Lee lost to Deonna Purrazzo on BTI, marking consecutive weeks of her and Susan losing to The Virtuosa. Toward the end of the show Kimber Lee was seen telling Susan it might be time to take drastic action; summoning Su Yung.

The full lineup for the July 8 show can be seen below. Fightful will keep you updated should any additional matches be announced.
