Jaxson Ryker: WWE Is Open To Creativity
Jaxson Ryker has undergone a big change on WWE television in recent weeks as he’s split with Elias and changed up his look.
Ryker and Elias were paired together in December 2020, but are now on opposite sides as enemies. Ryker has been with WWE since 2017 and before his time with Elias, was best known as a member of The Forgotten Sons.
Speaking on Radical Lifestyle, Ryker commented on how much creative freedom he has in WWE during his feud with Elias and switching his look.
“They’re really open with our creativity as far as what we’re allowed to do and say. Obviously, we have to pull back the reigns a little bit, but with WWE, they’re open to creativity. Now that Elias and I have done a switch and we’re fighting each other, they’re giving me an opportunity to touch base on my Marine Corp history. It’s cool and there are certain things I would say and won’t say. There’s a good bit of leeway. It’s not like, I’ve done movies before and it’s like, ‘Verbatim, say that right there. That’s what the writer and producer wants. Don’t steer away from it.’ With WWE, there is leeway,” he said.
Ryker is set to battle Elias in a strap match on Monday’s WWE Raw.
Fightful will have live coverage of WWE Raw beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Monday.
