Matt Hardy Open To Working A Big Match Or Angle For NJPW
The Forbidden Door is open and Matt Hardy is open to walking through.
Working his Broken Matt gimmick, Hardy would teleport between promotions, going on an expedition of gold alongside his brother Jeff. While Broken Matt is in the past, for now, there are still opportunities for him to work in other promotions thanks to AEW opening the forbidden door to welcome talent from IMPACT and NJPW.
For Hardy, he would be open to going to Japan under the right circumstances.
“I would love to go to New Japan and wrestle a match on a big show or do an angle or a story, but being the age I am and my tenure in the business, I’m no spring chicken and I’m not looking to go over there and wrestle in Japan for three weeks straight. I can’t do that. I would like to pick and choose and do some cool appearances and matches, maybe in multi-mans, and go have fun. It’d be a cool thing to check off my bucket list,” Hardy said during a Twitch Q&A.
Hardy, who is signed to AEW, has appeared on IMPACT during the Forbidden Door Era.
Elsewhere during the Q&A session, Hardy discussed the scariest bump of his career. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
