MJF Crashes Our Eric Bischoff Interview, Threatens To Beat Up Bischoff

Well, we tried to talk to Eric Bischoff about his AEW appearances while in Jacksonville Florida. Unfortunately, MJF happened.

This is my fourth appearance,” said Bischoff before being asked who conntacted him for the appearaces. “It’s varied. Each one was a little bit different. I think the first time it was Tony Khan himself. Chris Harrington, who works with Tony. Chris reached out to me once or twice. Cody Rhodes has reached out. Chris Jericho has reached out. They’re all working together, so I think it’s just who has five minutes to call Eric and see if he’s available type thing.”

With Sting, Paul Wight, Tony Schiavone and others running around backstage, Eric Bischoff says he doesn’t feel out of place when visiting.

“Oh, no. No, it’s got a real strong sense of familiarity. Not only because of the people, obviously, with Tony and Jim Ross, Sting and many others. Keith Mitchell, who I worked with many, many, many years in WCW and TNA. So, there’s so many familiar faces. Some names people that would recognize, many that people wouldn’t on the production side of things. So, it’s very, very familiar. But, just the general vibe. You know, wrestling is still wrestling. The adrenaline. The excitement. The anxiety. All of the above. It’s all very familiar,” Bischoff said.

At this point, MJF walked into shot, wearing a tank top, socks, flip flops and basketball shorts. We’ll provide the transcript unedited.

Eric Bischoff:

“My brother.”

MJF:

“It’s Eric, man. Here, (Sean) just scooch on off the couch since you’re incompetent.”

MJF:

“What are you doing in Jax, baby? What’s going on?”

Eric Bischoff:

“Oh, man. I heard there was this AEW thing going on.”

MJF:

“Oh, yeah, yeah.”

Eric Bischoff:

“I was undecided, but then I heard you were going to be here. You know how I love your work.”

MJF:

“Well, who fucking doesn’t, Eric? Let’s be honest here for a second. No, so I just wanted to ask you a question, because somebody told me something. I was a little too busy with Dean Malenko. You remember Dean Malenko. Kinda like wildly uncharismatic. Very short. For some reason he—whatever, it’s fine. It’s fine. Were you kind of being a little friendly and chit chatty with Chris last night? Or was that just a rumor?”

Eric Bischoff:

“That’s a rumor, man. Don’t believe—you’ve been around the business a long time now. You got your stripes. You know not to listen to rumors.”

MJF:

“Alright. Thank God. ‘Cause, Eric, if that were true.”

Eric Bischoff:

“You’d be disappointed, wouldn’t you?”

MJF:

“I wouldn’t just be disappointed. I’d beat the shit out of you, and I don’t want to do that. I don’t want to do that, Eric.”

Eric Bischoff:

“Oh, you can’t beat the shit out of me…”

MJF:

“No. Eric, I wouldn’t want to do that.”

Eric Bischoff:

“I’m elderly! I have an AARP card my wallet. How would that make you feel?”

MJF:

“Don’t talk about yourself like that. You’re a goddamn legend. So, here’s the real question I have to ask. You’ve seen the best of the best in this industry. So, here’s what I want to know. Have you ever seen someone at the tender age of 25 being this damn good?”

Eric Bischoff:

“No.”

MJF:

“There you have it, folks. You can go back to your shitty little interviewer, Shane Race Snapp.”
