46 Year Old Anderson Silva Defeats Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. In Boxing Match (Highlights)

“The Spider” wins his first pro boxing fight in years.

Anderson Silva was successful in his first outing in a professional boxing ring in over a decade against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

The former UFC Middleweight Champion, who had his last fight on October 30, 2020, against Uriah Hall, had his third boxing fight on Saturday, June 19, 2021, against the second-generation boxer, who is a former WBC Middleweight Champion.

Silva’s first boxing experience happened on May 22, 1998, losing to Osmar Teixeira. He would be victorious in his second outing against Julio Cesar De Jesus on August 5, 2005.

Anderson won his most recent fight against Cesar Chavez Jr. via Split Decision, with two out of three judges scoring the fight in his favor, 77 to 75. Prior to the fight,  Chavez had to forfeit $100,000 of his purse money because he was two pounds overweight.

On social media, many remarks that the former UFC champion looks very comfortable inside of a boxing ring as he looks to begin this next chapter of his storied combat sports career.
