New Million Dollar Champion Crowned At NXT TakeOver: In Your House
LA Knight will continue the legacy of the Million Dollar Championship.
LA Knight climbed the golden ladder and retrieved the Million Dollar Championship, defeating Cameron Grimes at NXT TakeOver: In Your House.
Grimes seemed to have the match won after taking Knight out with a hurricanrana to the outside, but as he reached the top of the ladder, Knight got back in the ring and tipped the ladder over, sending Grimes crashing through a propped up ladder on the ramp.
With Grimes out of the way, Knight had an easy path to win the title.
After the bout, Ted DiBiase officially awarded the Million Dollar Championship to LA Knight.

DiBiase brought back the Million Dollar Championship on Tuesday’s NXT, putting the belt up for grabs in the ladder match. DiBiase first introduced the Million Dollar Title in 1989 and it lasted until 1992. DiBiase brought back the title in 1995, awarding it to “The Ringmaster” Steve Austin. It was then brought back in 2010 with DiBiase giving it to his son Ted DiBiase Jr. It had not been seen since Old School Edition of Raw in November 2010.
