Report: Anthony Pettis Out Of PFL 4 Due To Illness, Replaced By Alex Martinez Against Natan Schulte

Anthony Pettis won’t be making his second walk to the PFL cage this week after all.

The former UFC Lightweight Champion was looking to rebound following his unanimous decision loss to Clay Collard at PFL 1 but due to an illness suffered at today’s weigh-ins, Pettis has been removed from Thursday night’s card.

According to AG Fight, undefeated Paraguay-native Alex Martinez (8-0) will replace Pettis and now face Natan Schulte (20-4-1) in a three-round lightweight tournament bout, tomorrow night.

Pettis (24-11) will remain in the promotion’s lightweight tournament and will face Raush Manfio (12-3) at PFL 6 on June 25.

PFL 4 takes place on Thursday, June 10 at the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
