CM Punk: WWE Is A Trash Movie, But People Watch Because They Like Movies
People just like movies, man.
WWE came under heavy criticism on Wednesday as they made more releases, their third straight month of doing so. Aleister Black, Murphy, Braun Strowman, Lana, Ruby Riott, and Santana Garrett were all released by the company.
Many fans were disappointed by WWE’s use of many of those wrestlers, wondering how they could not get more out of such talented people.
CM Punk gave his thoughts on the issue.
It’s like a movie with a blockbuster budget and cast, but if it’s written by creatively bankrupt nincompoops specifically for an audience of one, in a language nobody understands anymore, it’s…..trash. But people watch it because they like movies. —-

Many WWE talents who have left the company in recent years have expressed their frustrations with the creative limitations placed on them within the company. Black stated that he had “shackles on” as he tried to create in WWE.
Punk recently stated that, if he were to go back to WWE, he’d be just another guy doing not-good television. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
