Darby Allin Trying To Connect With Big-Time Skate Company For Possible AEW Decks
Darby Allin wants to do right by the skate community.
Appearing as a guest on the Wrestling Perspective Podcast, the AEW superstar was asked when we would see an AEW/Darby Allin skateboard deck. The former TNT Champion says that they have been talking about it for a long time, but dealing with contracts can take a while.
“We’ve been talking about it for a long time but I’m trying to connect with this company, a real skate company to collaborate with,” Darby revealed. “We have a bunch of big-time people interested, but it’s just dealing with the contracts, it takes time. If I could do it myself I would just sign anywhere, anytime, like, ‘yo, let’s do this tomorrow!’ But, you know, unfortunately, I can’t.”
Throughout the interview, Allin commented on how skateboarding influences him and how it better prepared him for bumping inside the ring. With everything he does, he is looking to represent the community as best as he can.
Darby will be in action this Sunday, May 30, at AEW’s Double or Nothing. He will team with Sting to face Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky. Fightful will have live coverage of the event that day beginning at 4 p.m. PST.
