Gunnar Nelson/Alan Jouban Added To UFC Fight Night 107
A welterweight division attraction is the latest addition to the UFC Fight Night 107 card as #9 Gunnar Nelson will be seeing action against Alan Jouban.
Nelson (15-2-1) has won six of eight fights under the UFC banner, with some of the more notable victories coming over Jorge Santiago, Zak Cummings, Brandon Thatch and Albert Tumenov. Nelson started off his professional MMA career in quite the auspicious fashion, as he fought John Olesen to a split draw at Adrenaline MMA 1 in 2007. Nelson hasn’t put a winning streak together in over two years time, his last winning streak lasted over seven years.
Jouban (15-4-0) will be entering this bout on a three fight winning streak, with those three wins coming over the trio of Belal Muhammad, Brendan O’Reilly and Mike Perry. Jouban has previously challenged for the Resurrection Fighting Alliance Welterweight Title, losing a decision to UFC veteran Mike Rhodes at RFA 10. Jouban made his professional MMA debut at Tachi Palace Fights 8 in 2011, defeating Kyle Griffin in 15 seconds, Griffin is the brother of UFC veteran Tyson Griffin.
UFC Fight Night 107 takes place on Saturday, March 18 from The 02 in London, England with Jimi Manuwa and Corey Anderson headlining.
