Paul Felder Announces His Retirement From Mixed Martial Arts
After a career that lasted over five years, and saw him reach the heights of a top-five ranking in the UFC’s ultra-competitive lightweight division, Paul Felder has announced his retirement from MMA.
Felder had been dropping hints at potential retirement back since before his loss to Dan Hooker in early 2020, and while he did return to fight Rafael dos Anjos on short notice in November, he said in a short statement that he lacked the desire to return again.
Felder entered the UFC in 2015, and accumulated a record of nine wins, and six losses, and featured high profile victories over the likes of James Vick, Edson Barboza, and most notably, he was the last person to defeat current UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira.
Below check out Felder’s speech as well as the tribute video that the UFC produced to celebrate his career.
