Ethan Page Says He Has Upcoming Indie Dates, Will Re-Open Alpha-1 The Minute He Can
Ethan Page might be a fixture on AEW television, but he still has plans outside of the company.
Page is the founder of Alpha-1 in Canada, but due to the pandemic and restrictions in the country, the company has been put on pause. Alpha-1 has run just one event since the pandemic started with Escape From Your Basement being held in August 2020.
Answering questions on his YouTube channel, Page was asked about the status of Alpha-1.
“I miss Alpha-1 more than I can explain verbally. I miss all the wrestlers, mostly the locals. We did get to do one show during the pandemic and it was amazing to see them. I miss the creative part of it. I miss doing the posters, graphics, announcing matches, booking matches, telling stories, seeing the crowd react to the things I had envisioned. I definitely miss Alpha-1. I can’t wait for it to come back. The minute it can come back, I will bring it back,” he said.
While it is unknown when Alpha-1 will return, Page is set to return to the Independent scene at some point in the near future.
Page said during the Q&A session, “I have multiple Independent events in my upcoming schedule. I will be returning to the Indies very, very selectively.”
When he’s not on the Independent scene, Page can be found teaming with Scorpio Sky on AEW television.
The duo was victorious on the May 17 episode of AEW Dark: Elevation, defeating Jaylen Brandyn & Traevon Jordan.
