WWE RAW Results for 5/17/21 Wrestlemania: Backlash Fallout

Good evening Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage for tonight’s edition of WWE RAW!
– Backstage WWE champion Bobby Lashley makes his way into the arena accompanied by several women before we go to the ring where MVP introduces Bobby who comes out to the ring with the aforementioned women. MVP then issues an open challenge for the WWE title which is answered by Drew McIntyre before MVP says that he was going to say that it’s for anyone other than Drew or Braun before they nearly come to blows.
AJ Styles (w/ Omos) vs Elias (w/ Jaxson Ryker)
Elias punches AJ before AJ dropkicks him and Elias his a delayed suplex before AJ hits a backbreaker and Elias drives him into the corner before hitting a baseball slide that sends AJ out of the ring. Back in the ring AJ then clotheslines Elias over the top rope before hitting a slingshot tope as we go to commercial.
We come back from the break to Elias in control of AJ back in the ring before AJ comes back with kick and a sliding forearm into a flurry of strikes and an ushigoroshi for two. Elias then counters a Styles Clash for a near fall before Jaxson attacks AJ for the disqualification when AJ is setting up for the Phenomenal Forearm.
Winner: AJ Styles defeats Elias via disqualification when Jaxson Ryker interferes.
– Backstage Riddle meets with New Day and Randy Orton where he tries to get Randy to apologize to Kofi and Xavier before Randy refuses to apologize and Kofi says that they wouldn’t have accepted it in the first place. Kofi then challenges Randy to a match that he accepts before everyone but Riddle leaves.
– Newly crowned WWE Women’s Tag Team champions Natalya and Tamina join Alexa’s Playground where Alexa interviews them about winning the tag belts from Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax.
Angel Garza vs Drew Gulak
Angel drops Drew repeatedly and clotheslines him before hitting a rebound suplex into a dropkick before rocking Drew with a right hand and hitting a variation of a backbreaker. Angel then finishes Drew with the Wing Clipper for the pin and the win.
Winner: Angel Garza defeats Drew Gulak via pinfall.
– After the match Angel shoves a rose in the mouth of Drew before leaving.
– Backstage R-Truth is interviewed where he thinks that his title has an open challenge before he’s pinned by Akira Tozawa who runs off with the 24/7 title.
Randy Orton (w/ Riddle) vs Kofi Kingston (w/ Xavier Woods)
Randy takes Kofi down with a side headlock take over before dropping him with a shoulder block and Kofi rocks Randy with a kick that sends him out of the ring. Randy kicks the leg of Kofi at ringside before tossing him back inside and hitting a pair of arm drags before Randy locks in a rear chin lock. Kofi then gets to his feet and dropkicks Randy before Randy hits a powerslam and calls for an RKO before he’s distracted by Xavier and Kofi rolls him up for the pin and the win.
Winner: Kofi Kingston defeats Randy Orton via pinfall.
– After the match Riddle keeps Randy and New Day separated before Riddle shoves Xavier down and goes after Randy.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match
Natalya & Tamina (c) vs Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax (w/ Reginald)
Shayna and Tamina start the match off before Alexa shows up and fire shoots out of one of the corners before Natalya and Tamina double team Shayna with a Hart Attack for the pin and the win.
Winner: Natalya and Tamina retain their WWE Women’s Tag Team titles by defeating Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax via pinfall.
Ricochet vs Sheamus
Before the match Sheamus rushes Ricochet on the stage before the match starts and Ricochet gets clotheslined before hitting a scoop slam and slings Ricochet off of his back. Ricochet then hits a knee lift and dropkicks Sheamus out of the ring before Sheamus catches him when he goes for a slingshot cross body and Sheamus sends him into the post and over the barricade as we go to commercial.
We come back from the break to Sheamus in control of Ricochet back in the ring before Ricochet comes back with forearms before Sheamus hits an Irish Curse backbreaker for a near fall. Sheamus goes up top before Ricochet hits a Spanish fly and a flurry in the corner into a springboard clothesline and a standing shooting star press for a near fall. Sheamus gets his knees up when Ricochet goes for a moonsault off of the second rope before Sheamus misses a boot and Ricochet hits a diving cross body onto Sheamus onto the floor. Back in the ring Sheamus then hits the Brogue Kick in midair when Ricochet goes for a springboard for a near fall before Sheamus hits him with another Brogue Kick for the pin and the win.
Winner: Sheamus defeats Ricochet via pinfall.
– Backstage Mace and T-Bar cut a promo where they set their sights on Bobby Lashley and his WWE title.
Asuka vs Charlotte
Asuka and Charlotte lock up before dodging each other’s kicks and running the ropes before Asuka hits a dropkick and a running hip attack before Charlotte drops her with a back elbow. Asuka then kicks Charlotte in the ropes and hits a running hip attack with Charlotte draped over the apron before Charlotte takes control and Rhea walks down to ringside as we go to commercial.
We come back to the ring to Charlotte controlling Asuka on the mat as Rhea looks on from ringside before Charlotte hits a backbreaker into a neckbreaker for two before locking in a head scissors submission. Asuka rolls Charlotte up for two before hitting a buzz saw kick and a knee lift into a German before hitting a bulldog out of the corner into a shining wizard for two. Charlotte boot Asuka before countering the Asuka Lock and Asuka hits a missile dropkick for two before Charlotte rolls her up with the tights for a near fall. Asuka locks in a knee bar before Charlotte counters and Asuka locks in a triangle before Charlotte turns it into a Boston crab. Charlotte locks in a knee bar in the ropes before facing off with Rhea and getting back into the ring before knocking Rhea off of the apron.
Asuka then counters a figure four into a pin for the win as Charlotte is enraged and Rhea is elated.
Winner: Asuka defeats Charlotte Flair via pinfall.
Lumberjack Match
Damian Priest vs John Morrison
Damian drops John repeatedly before taking him down with a deep arm drag into a straight armbar before John dumps him out of the ring and the lumberjacks attack him before tossing him back inside. Damian comes back and sends John out of the ring before he immediately rolls back inside and Damian stomps John in the corner before John tosses Akira into the ring. John then flees over the barricade to avoid the lumberjacks before Damian slams him when he gets back inside as we go to commercial.
We come back from the break to John in control before Damian locks in a submission and rocks John with strikes before hitting a reverse slam and John sends him out of the ring. Mace and T-Bar attack Damian before he’s sent back inside and Damian takes out Mace and T-Bar with a tope before Cedric and Shelton brawl at ringside. Damian then hits a superplex onto everyone at ringside before they’re back inside and Damian hits a frankensteiner into Hit the Lights for the pin and the win.
Winner: Damian Priest defeats John Morrison via pinfall.
– Backstage Shelton is interviewed before Cedric walks up and mocks him before Shelton attacks Cedric and lays him out.
Bobby Lashley (w/ MVP) vs Kofi Kingston (w/ Xavier Woods)
Before the match MVP says that it’s a non-title match before Kofi attacks Bobby and Bobby immediately hits Kofi with a high angle uranage for two. Kofi then sends Bobby out of the ring as we go to commercial.
Bobby beats on Kofi in the corner before driving his shoulder into his midsection and hitting a delayed suplex for two before Kofi hits a DDT and Bobby hits a flat liner for a near fall. Bobby sets Kofi up top before he’s distracted by Xavier and Kofi sends Bobby throat first into the middle rope before Bobby slams Kofi and tosses him out of the ring. Bobby then slams Kofi into the post before Xavier saves Kofi and gets ejected before Drew shows up and hits Bobby with MVP’s cane before Kofi rolls him up for the pin and the win.
Winner: Kofi Kingston defeats Bobby Lashley via pinfall.
– After the match Drew leaves up the ramp and celebrates with New Day as we go off the air.
