Chris Jericho: Tim Tebow Could Come To AEW, Whip A Football At Someone And Knock Them Out
Tim Tebow is returning to the NFL, reportedly signing a one-year deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars to play tight end for the team.
With Tony Khan serving as the co-owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars, the jokes have already run wild about Tebow making an appearance for AEW.
Appearing on the Rich Eisen Show, Chris Jericho discussed the possibility of Tebow showing up in AEW.
“I’m sure at some point, we’ll have cameos from the [Jacksonville Jaguars]. There’s no reason not to. We just had a big storyline with Mike Tyson. I don’t have any doubts that we’ll have them involved at some point. It’s perfect symmetry,” said Jericho. “You know the Khans are going to be very careful with how you use them. It’s simple, the bad guy is running wild, say he’s facing Chris Jericho, he does something dastardly and as he’s running out of the arena to escape, Tebow whips a football at his head and knocks him out. I catch up to him and get the victory.”
Eisen joked that even though Tebow is one of the most decorated quarterbacks in college football history, he’s been out of the NFL for six years and returning as a tight end of a reason; his accuracy isn’t exactly the best with the football.
Jericho replied, “We just make sure it’s a taped match and we edit it.”
AEW has utilized TIAA Bank Field for Stadium Stampede at Double or Nothing 2020 and they appear to be headed in that direction once again this year with The Pinnacle challenging Inner Circle to a Stadium Stampede match at Double or Nothing 2021.
