IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV Results for 4/29/21 IMPACT Rebellion Fallout

Good evening Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage for tonight’s edition of IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV!

– We open tonight’s show with a recap of Rebellion from this past weekend where Kenny Omega defeated Rich Swann to become the new IMPACT World champion.

– Scott D’Amore informs Don Callis that Kenny has to show up tonight or he’s suspended and stripped of the IMPACT World title before we go to the ring with Scott in the ring and the roster surrounding ring. Scott says that there will be a six way number one contender match for Kenny’s IMPACT World Championship and that there will be six qualifying matches to determine who enters the number one contender match.

Chris Bey vs Jake Something

Jake launches Chris into the corner and hits a Thesz press that Chris turns into a sunset flip before Jake hits a second Thesz press before Chris hits a suplex into a twisting elbow drop. Chris hits an enzuigiri into a diving cross body for two before Jake clotheslines him and hits a sit-out powerbomb for a near fall. Chris then gets a near fall off of a Samson Clutch before Jake turns Chris inside out and throws him back into the ring from the apron before Rohit distracts Jake and Chris rolls him up for the pin and the win.

Winner: Chris Bey defeats Jake Something via pinfall.

– Don is on the phone with Kenny who he tells to show up and take the jet so he’ll be there in half an hour before Sami Callihan shows up and says that he’s coming for the gold.

– We get a backstage interview with Taylor Wilde who is interrupted by Tenille Dashwood who tries to get her to team with her before Taylor turns her down and leaves.

Sam Beale vs W. Morrissey

W beats on Sam in the corner before hitting a wrist lock lariat and pinning Sam with a powerbomb for the win.

Winner: W Morrissey defeats Sam Beale via pinfall.

– We get a backstage interview with Knockouts champion Deonna Purrazzo, Kimber Lee, and Susan as we go to commercial.

– We come back from the break to a backstage interview with Willie Mack who calls out W Morrissey to a match at Under Siege.

Kimber Lee (w/ Susan) vs Taylor Wilde

Kimber is in control early before Taylor comes back with a series of arm drags and a leg lariat for two before locking in a submission that Kimber counters as we go to commercial.

We come back from the break to Kimber in control of Taylor on the mat before Taylor comes back with forearms and a clothesline before hitting a head scissors. Taylor gets two off of a crucifix before Kimber hits a jawbreaker and drops her with kicks for two before missing a Swanton Bomb and Taylor hits a Code Breaker. Taylor then locks in an Indian Death Lock for the tap and the win.

Winner: Taylor Wilde defeats Kimber Lee via submission.

– After the match Susan and Kimber attack Taylor before they’re ran off by Tenille who comes to save Taylor.

– We come back from the break to Moose confronting Scott D’Amore about having to earn a shot at Kenny before James Storm shows up and faces off with Moose ahead of their match next week.

X-Division Championship Match
Josh Alexander (c) vs Ace Austin (w/ Madman Fulton)

Josh and Ace exchange wrist locks and standing switches before Josh hits a northern lights suplex for two before Ace hits an enzuigiri into a face buster and forearms and kicks in the corner. Ace gives Josh a paper cut before hitting a hurricanrana and a running clothesline in the corner before Josh hits a chaos theory and locks in an ankle lock. Ace gets to the ropes before dropping Josh with a kick for a near fall before stomping him in the ropes before Josh slams Ace onto the apron and takes out Fulton. Josh then counters The Fold before hitting a powerbomb onto his knee before locking in an ankle lock for the tap and the win.

Winner: Josh Alexander retains his X-Division title by defeating Ace Austin via submission.

-We get a backstage interview with the newly crowned Knockouts Tag Team champions Jordynne Grace and Rachel Ellering before they’re interrupted by the former champions Fire N’ Flava.

Brian Myers vs Matt Cardona

Matt attacks Brian before the match before Brian drops Matt when he’s overly aggressive before Matt sends Brian out of the ring and Matt sends him into the steps as we go to commercial.

We come back from the break to Brian in control of Matt back in the ring before Matt comes back with a missile dropkick into a sky high sit-out powerbomb for a near fall. Brian hits a jumping flat liner before Matt hits Brian with Radio Silence before Brian can hit him with the Roster Cut for the pin and the win.

Winner: Matt Cardona defeats Brian Myers via pinfall.

– We get a video package for Violent By Design as we go to commercial.

– We get a graphic for El Fantasmo who is making his debut next week.

Sami Callihan vs Eddie Edwards

The long time rivals go blow for blow before Sami sends Eddie out of the ring Eddie hits a suicide dive as we go to commercial.

We come back from the break to Eddie now in control of Eddie in the ring as he kicks his legs out on the top turnbuckle and kicks and tears at his face in the corner before locking in a rear chin lock. Eddie hits a stunner into a frankensteiner before hitting a blue thunderbomb for a near fall before they’re both attacked by Kenny and the Good Brothers for the disqualification.

Winner: No Contest due to double interference.

– After the match FinJuice come out and brawl with Kenny, Karl, and Doc before Kenny celebrates as we go off the air.
