Tucker Takes A Jab At WWE For Having No Payoff To Otis/Mandy Rose Storyline
Tucker says Raw and SmackDown are hardly any different.
One of the major stories going into WrestleMania last year was the love story of Mandy Rose and Otis. The pairing would stay together from WrestleMania 36 through SummerSlam 2020 when Mandy Rose took on Sonya Deville in a loser leaves WWE match.
Later, Mandy would be traded to Monday Night Raw, along with Otis’ partner, Tucker. Tucker would later turn on Otis and cost him the Money in the Bank briefcase and the two would never have an actual encounter before Tucker would be released on Thursday, April 15, 2021.
Now, Tucker is speaking out against what he feels was a creatively stifling environment and even taking a jab at the way the Mandy Rose and Otis love story ended without ever really having a conclusion.
IMO and obviously I have a bad taste in my mouth but there is very little opportunity for talent to have any sense of agency over who they are and what happens on tv. To me it’s this part of the creative process that is hurting the product the most currently.

Personally no I didn’t find it to be any different most days. I will say there a general sense of less stress on the 2 hour show but creatively I didn’t find a difference.

Yeah or doing a story like Mandy and Otis for months with zero payoff.

Previously, Tucker had stated that he is looking forward to telling his story when he is ready and even extended gratitude towards WWE for all of the lessons learned during his tenure there. Learn more here.
