Luchador Halloween Preparing For His Farewell Tour, Details The Extent Of His Lumbar Damage

An iconic Luchador is saying goodbye to his days in the ring.

For over half of his life, Jesús Manuel Ortiz Partida, better known as Halloween, has enthralled audiences through his mastery of the craft of Lucha Libre professional wrestling. However, 34 years into his career, Halloween looks to say goodbye at the age of 51.

Speaking with La Tijera (Per Azteca TV), Halloween reveals that he has suffered extensive lumbar damage including his fifth lumbar being shattered from corner to corner.

“It turns out that the fourth lumbar is very injured, but the fifth lumbar, which is the one that totally moves your legs, is broken from corner to corner, as if it were just holding on by a string and at any moment it could break and I’d be left paralyzed in a wheelchair, ” commented the Tijuana native.

Despite the sad closing of a chapter, Halloween takes pride in having given his all throughout his career.

“I definitely can’t fight anymore so Halloween is over. I lived through everything, good and bad things, but I think the most important thing was that in the 34-year career I never got into the ring and was foolish, I gave myself to wrestling, not 100 percent, at a thousand percent. “

It is also noted that he is preparing for a farewell tour which will involve no bumping or physical altercations whatsoever.
