TAELER: Looking At Jennacide Versus Kamille On NWA Powerrr

On the most recent episode of NWA Powerrr on Fite TV the NWA Women’s Division was in full swing. From commentary to on the mic and hard hitting in ring action. The episode would feature former NWA Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa, Melina, Velvet Sky, and more. Also amongst the competition featured on this NWA episode was a highly anticipated women’s singles match. The scheduled bout highlighted The Bionic Beast Jennacide going one on one against the current number one contender for the coveted NWA World Women’s Championship – Kamille Brickhouse. And fought they did!

The NWA mainstay and proverbial insurmountable NWA mountain of a brick wall known as Kamille went one on one with the up and coming Bionic Beast of a competitor Jennacide. The two collided in a hard hitting and even harder fought match as Kamille would see herself matched in size and passion when she faced down Jennacide. On paper, Jennacide amounts to perhaps the most credible threat to Kamille as far as potential to end the very impressive ascent of Kamille and her impeccable NWA record. Since her NWA debut, Kamille has overcome competitors both male and female. She’s stared into the face of adversity and won.  She successfully beat opponents with more TV time and experience. From being the personal enforcer of Nick Aldis to defeating Sienna, Thunder Rosa, and most recently Jennacide sorry; spoiler alert. It would seem by all accounts that the end result was Jennacide running head first into a brick wall in the form of Kamille Brickhouse…

Jennacide versus Kamille was exactly what you would want to see from the two athletes. And fans were definitely left impressed and wanting more. I was happy to see these two in singles competition. Perfectly matched as they were, they both went toe to toe challenging each other while representing the fighting spirit that is indicative of the lifeblood that went into the founding of the NWA. With every appearance both ladies have shown their fans their own innate abilities and their growing passion for the sport. Each match they’ve had over the last two plus years shows their growth as performers. The in ring caliber that each woman has shown in such a short time is amazing. Huge credit where its due.

As the number one contender waiting for her key moment to challenge the veteran NWA World Women’s Champion Serena Deeb, Kamille took great risk in signing on for this bout against The Bionic Beast. Never one to back down from a challenge, it was no surprise to see Kamille set foot in the ring without any hint of apprehension or being the least bit pensive. The potential to impress NWA officials and potentially gain a win over Kamille would be enough motivation for Jennacide to accept the opportunity. The old school psychology I see being pumped into Kamille has been excellent. Not sure who their agent was, but another huge credit where its due, kudos! The old school vibe that has been modernized, is in my opinion, a perfect reflection of where the business started and where its headed and allows for stars like Kamille to shine while they still hone their craft coming into their own as superstars.

With talent like the former NWA Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa coursing her way through the NWA and AEW Women’s Divisions, as well as the current NWA World Women’s Champion Serena Deeb, it stands to reason that the rising levels of competition amidst the NWA and SWE Fury  relationship could potentially see more women crossing over. Since we’ve yet to see the IMPACT Wrestling’s Knockouts Division breach that forbidden door, NWA could stand to gain the upper hand. Competitors like Kamille, Thunder Rosa, and Jennacide could crossover and form a formidable threat to the very best at AEW. Regardless of a pandemic stricken 2020 which was clearly capitalized on by both ladies, or whom you were rooting for in Kamille versus Jennacide, I think we can all agree that the prestigious and illustrious NWA history surrounding the showcase of Women’s Wrestling is alive and well in the ever-evolving new landscape of Women’s Wrestling. Mildrid Burke the inaugural NWA World Women’s Champion would indeed be proud of Jennacide and Kamille with how far they’ve come and for so young in their careers. And thus continues the dominance of Kamille! I wholeheartedly agree with Velvet Sky’s commentary on Kamille when she said on NWA Powerrr, “Kamille PROVING that she is a powerhouse!”
