Report: NJPW Turned Down Deal With VICE TV In 2020

On Monday, April 19, Major League Wrestling announced a new television deal with VICE TV. The deal will see the promotion premiere on VICE TV in the spring. 

Further details were not given. 

According to Mike Johnson at PWInsider, sources at VICE TV noted that New Japan Pro-Wrestling was offered a similar deal in 2020 to what MLW agreed to. NJPW reportedly turned the deal down. 

NJPW reportedly turned down a deal to return to AXS TV during their recent television negotiations. They were also reportedly negotiating with ESPN.

NJPW announced a deal with Roku Channel in February to air a weekly one-hour program every Thursday. Their deal with Roku is reportedly not exclusive

It is unknown when MLW will debut on VICE TV. The show currently airs on YouTube, beIN SPORTS, and other platforms.
