WWE RAW Results for 4/5/21 Asuka & Rhea Ripley vs Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler

Good evening Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage for tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW!
– We open tonight’s show with a recap of the end of last week’s before the number one contender for the WWE Championship Drew McIntyre comes out to the ring to talk about his title challenge against The Almighty Bobby Lashley at Wrestlemania. The WWE champion comes out onto the ramp with MVP who talks Bobby down from attacking Drew before saying that Drew might not even make it to Wrestlemania before Baron Corbin comes out onto the stage. Baron then says that he agrees with MVP and that he started something last week and tonight he’s going to finish it.
– We get a recap of Omos man-handling New Day before we get a graphic for AJ Styles versus Xavier Woods up next as we go to commercial.
AJ Styles (w/ Omos) vs Xavier Woods (w/ Kofi Kingston)
AJ immediately locks in the Calf Crusher before Kofi throws a mic at Omos and gets into the ring before AJ breaks the hold and gets distracted before Xavier rolls AJ up for the pin and the win.
Winner: Xavier Woods defeats AJ Styles via pinfall.
– Damian Priest and Bad Bunny show up to the arena in a Bugatti.
Braun Strowman vs Jaxson Ryker & Elias
Jaxson and Elias double team Braun and get him down onto the mat before Jaxson hits a diving headbutt before Elias hits a diving elbow drop for a near fall. Braun then hits both Elias and Jaxson with a running powerslam and covers the both of them for the pin and the win.
Winner: Braun Strowman defeats Elias and Jaxson Ryker via pinfall.
– The Miz and John Morrison are briefly interviewed before they go and vandalize the car that Damian and Bad rented as we go to commercial.
– We come back from the break to see Bad discovering what happened to his car before Miz and Morrison attack him from behind and are ran off by agents and Damian.
Asuka & Rhea Ripley vs Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler (w/ Reginald)
Asuka and Shayna start the match off by exchanging headlocks shoves before they run the ropes and Asuka drops Shayna before wringing her arm and dragging her to the corner. Rhea tags herself in after Shayna punches Asuka before Rhea tags out and tags Asuka back in who gets ran over by Nia. Asuka then hits a Code Breaker and tags Rhea in who drops Shayna with a boot and knocks Nia off of the apron before Reginald distracts her and Nia sends her into the apron as we go to commercial.
We come back to the tag champs isolating Rhea and cutting the ring in half until she comes back and gets the hot tag to Asuka who drops Shayna and hits running hip attacks in opposite directions. Asuka hits a shining wizard for two before going up top and Shayna knocks Asuka off of the top before Rhea smashes her face first into the floor. Rhea then tosses Asuka back inside and allows Shayna to finish and pin Asuka for the win.
Winner: Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax defeat Asuka and Rhea Ripley via pinfall.
– We get a recap of Bobby defeating both Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander in a handicap match last week before they run up on MVP and threaten him backstage.
Bobby Lashley (w/ MVP) vs Cedric Alexander (w/ Shelton Benjamin)
Shelton attacks Bobby from behind before the match starts and Bobby fights both he and Cedric off before the match starts and Bobby repeatedly slams Cedric. Bobby beats on Cedric in the corner and hits a neckbreaker before tossing him across the ring and out of the ring. Bobby goes out after Cedric who gets back in and attacks Bobby when he gets back inside before Bobby knocks him away and hits a delayed suplex. Bobby then dumps Cedric back out of the ring and sends him into the post as we go to commercial.
We come back from the break to Cedric making his come back as he rocks Bobby only to be hit with a spine buster and tossed out of the ring where Cedric sends him into the steps and hits a pair suicide dives. Back inside Cedric then hits a hand spring roundhouse kick into missile dropkick for two before Bobby plants him and hits a spine buster into the Hurt Lock for the tap and the win.
Winner: Bobby Lashley defeats Cedric Alexander via submission.
– After the match Shelton comes in and Bobby locks in the Hurt Lock on him before he and MVP celebrate.
-We get a video package for Randy Orton and The Fiend ahead of their match at Wrestlemania.
– Bad Bunny comes out to the ring and calls out Miz and Morrison before they appear on the big screen and leave the arena rather than coming out and facing off with Bad and Damian.
– Backstage Sheamus stops Mustafa Ali and says that he’s going to be at commentary for his match against Riddle who speeds by on his scooter.
Riddle vs Mustafa Ali
Sheamus joins on commentary before the match as promised before the match starts with Ali stuffing a takedown before countering a triangle choke and Riddle takes him down with a double leg. Ali counters a gut wrench suplex and rolls Riddle up for the being dropkicking him for two before Riddle sends him over the top rope and down onto the floor. Riddle then hits a PK from ringside and puts on Sheamus’ hat before Ali hits Riddle with a side Russian leg sweep onto the floor as we go to commercial.
We come back to Ali punching and stomping Riddle in the corner before Riddle comes back with a flurry of strikes and a sunset flip before Ali stomps on his bare foot. Ali locks in a body scissors before Riddle gets to his feet and runs and hits a senton with Ali on his back to get free before hitting an exploder suplex into a PK and a senton for two. Riddle then suplexes Ali before kicking in an armbar and Ali gets to the ropes for the break before hitting a bloody cross for a near fall before Riddle hits the Bro-Derek for the pin and the win.
Winner: Riddle defeats Mustafa Ali via pinfall.
– After the match Sheamus and Riddle have a verbal exchange.
– Drew McIntyre is interviewed backstage ahead of his challenging Bobby for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania and his match against Baron Corbin in tonight’s main event as we go to commercial.
Drew McIntyre vs Baron Corbin
They lock up for a clean break before Corbin drops Drew with a shoulder block and they exchange standing switches and side headlocks as Bobby looks on from a monitor backstage. Corbin backs Drew into the corner before Drew comes back with a clothesline and back elbow into a snap suplex for two. Corbin comes back with a clothesline and chokes Drew on the ropes and in the corner before stomping him and whipping him into the corner. Drew comes back with clotheslines into an overhead belly to belly suplex and a neckbreaker for two before Corbin rolls out of the ring and rips Drew off of the apron. Drew then sends Corbin into the post and the steps as we go to commercial.
We come back to Drew hitting a northern lights suplex for two before beating Corbin down against the ropes and Corbin sends him over the top rope and onto the apron before sending him into the post. Back in the ring Corbin suplexes Drew before locking in a crucifix with elbows to the side of the head and hitting a chokeslam for a deep two count before Drew hits a spine buster for two. Corbin counters the Future Shock DDT into a side slam before Drew counters The End of Days into the Future Shock DDT for a near fall before Corbin catches him up top. Corbin then hits a superplex for a near fall before they exchange strikes until Corbin hits Deep Six for a near fall before MVP hands Corbin his cane and Drew hits Corbin with the Claymore for the pin and the win.
Winner: Drew McIntyre defeats Baron Corbin via pinfall.
– After the match Bobby comes out onto the stage and the two face off with Drew in the ring as we go off the air.
