Triple H Is Optimistic About NXT’s Move To Tuesdays, Believes Peacock Will Help The Brand Grow
Triple H is excited about the future of NXT on Tuesday nights.
Recently, it was officially revealed that NXT will be moving to Tuesday nights following WrestleMania 37, effectively ending the Wednesday night ratings competition with All Elite Wrestling.
In a press release, WWE noted that this move is built around an extension of their agreement with the USA Network and now, following Tuesday nights live airing of NXT on USA Network, the show will be available for streaming on the Peacock streaming service.
Speaking with Variety, Triple H, the mastermind of NXT, says he is confident that this move will help grow the brand especially with the lead-in of Monday Night Raw 24 hours ahead of every episode of NXT.
“We now feel like we’re in a good place where we can move that consistent fanbase over to Tuesdays,” Levesque said. “We believe they’ll follow us. That way we can grow the brand more given the lead-in from ‘Monday Night Raw,’ which we’ve seen in the past.”
Regarding the move to Peacock, Triple H is confident that the bigger platform will allow more people to sample NXT and that sample will be too much for most to turn away from.
“The ability for us to be on [Peacock], a bigger platform where so many more people have the opportunity to experience it and to let it grow into something more, is very exciting,” Levesque continued. “Once you sample it, we believe that the product is something that people will stick with and become involved in.”
The final Wednesday night NXT will be night one of TakeOver: Stand & Deliver on Wednesday, April 7. Fightful will have live coverage of the event.
