Vicente Luque Submits Tyron Woodley: UFC 260 Main Card Highlights

In a wild finish in the co-main event of UFC 260, Vicente Luque took out the former UFC Welterweight Champion in Tyron Woodley.

Take a look below at the full highlights!

Vicente Luque def. Tyron Woodley via submission (D’arce choke) (3:56, R1)

Woodley was fast to start the fight right away, suffocating Luque against the cage. Luque switched the position and landed shoulder shots. Woodley landed an overhand right, but Luque had a few big shots of his own. The latter landed a few more and Woodley was struggling to stay on his feet. A left later, and Luque was able to get a downed Woodley to tap. Woodley has now lost four in a row.

Sean O’Malley def. Thomas Almeida via KO (3:52, R3)

Twice in the fight, O’Malley thought he ended it. It was the second time that did the trick.

O’Malley landed volume shots in all three rounds. He landed a front kick, and as Almeida tried going in O’Malley landed a shin to the chin. Thinking he won the fight, O’Malley hesitated and Almeida got back up. O’Malley would continue to land fast hands and kicks to the front foot of Almeida. In the third, O’Malley landed combinations. He then dropped Almeida, the referee didn’t stop the fight, and finally landed the big blow to the face to end it.

Miranda Maverick def. Gillian Robertson via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)

The 23-year-old Maverick started off round one with volume shots to the face of Robertson. She landed combination kicks and punches and ended up providing pressure on the floor via takedowns. Round two saw Robertson controlling the floor and making adjustments. Maverick, however, would adjust and escape a few times.

By round three, Maverick would be the one to shoot on the floor via a sprawl. While Robertson tried to reverse, Maverick kept the pressure on. She would continue to attack before the end of the fight.

Jamie Mullarkey def. Khama Worthy via KO (0:46, R1)

Both traded shots to start. Mullarkey would end up landing high-range shots to the face. One hook to the chin and Worthy went down. Mullarkey then finished Worthy off on the floor for the quick finish.
