Tony Khan Signed A Multi-Year Agreement To Use ‘Where Is My Mind?’ By The Pixies For Orange Cassidy

Tony Khan gives new details on Orange Cassidy’s new theme song.

During the tapings for AEW Dark: Elevation on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor debuted a new theme song for Cassidy and not just any theme song but The Pixies hit song, ‘Where Is My Mind?’

Speaking to Pitchfork, Tony Khan revealed that he signed a multi-year agreement to use the song and that it will last forever in the archives because he bought the rights in perpetuity

“A few weeks ago, I played it for him, he said he loved it. I asked if he wanted me to try to license it, he gave me his ‘thumbs up,’” AEW CEO Tony Khan said in a statement to Pitchfork. “I signed a multiyear agreement to use the song, and every use of the song in AEW will live in our content library forever in perpetuity.”

Previously, Tony Khan had mentioned on Twitter that he tried to get the rights to the song ‘Jane’ by Jefferson Starship, but the band never responded to any of his attempts to contact them.

In recent months, Tony Khan has also licensed Tom Waits’ ‘Ol ‘55’ for the tribute to Brody Lee and ‘Tarzan Boy’ by Baltimora for Jungle Boy.

You can hear the debut of the theme song when Cassidy and Taylor take on JD Drake and Ryan Nemeth this Monday on AEW Dark: Elevation. After that, they will take on Miro and Kip Sabian in the first Arcade Anarchy match on the March 31 Dynamite.
