Damian Priest Recalls Undertaker Pulling His Punch Just Before He Broke His Nose
Damian Priest has previously noted how he felt like he was in a horror movie when he came face-to-face with Kane at WWE Royal Rumble.
Speaking on the Metal Injections podcast, Priest also told how he came fist-to-nose with The Undertaker during a training session at the WWE Performance Center.
“He sat in and watched our matches back and critiqued them as they played,” recalled Priest. “He gave me advice, not so much wrestling, just more of how to carry yourself and structure things and how to be the biggest star you can be with what you have. It’s worth so much more. I consider myself someone with a good wrestling mind. I’m good at this business. I understand it and can explain it to people and can coach people. I helped train Riddle. It blows my mind how [Undertaker, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels] can say things. It puts things in perspective and I’m like, ‘I can’t believe I never thought of it like that. That idea never popped in my mind.’ [Undertaker and I] actually got to workout in the ring a little. He put on the gloves and everything. I got to throw some blows with him. He threw a punch, and he threw it full speed. It touched my face and he pulled it just before he broke my nose. I was like, ‘That was awesome. Do it again.'”
Undertaker stopped by the WWE Performance Center ahead of his WrestleMania 36 bout against AJ Styles, which ended up being a Boneyard match due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Priest is currently aligned with Bad Bunny on WWE Raw.
