WWE Confirms Danny Burch Suffered Separated Shoulder On 3/17 NXT; NXT Tag Team Titles Vacated
Danny Burch’s injury has been confirmed by WWE.
On the March 17 episode of NXT, Burch teamed with Oney Lorcan to battle Karrion Kross and Finn Balor in the main event. During the match, Burch landed awkwardly on his shoulder during a suplex spot with Kross.
He rolled to the outside and was attended to by WWE medical officials. He did not return to the match.
The Wrestling Observer reported Burch suffered a separated shoulder in the match. NXT’s injury report noted that Burch was undergoing further evaluation, but Burch was expected to be out of action “for a while” if it’s confirmed to be a separated shoulder.
It is now confirmed to be a separated shoulder. There is no timetable for Burch’s return. As a result of Burch’s injury, NXT General Manager William Regal announced the NXT Tag Team Titles are now vacated. He will provide a further update on Wednesday’s NXT.
