Cesaro Says He Wants A Match With Seth Rollins At WrestleMania 37

Cesaro wants his first-ever WrestleMania singles match to be against a former world champion.

Despite being on WWE television since 2012, Cesaro has never had a singles match at WrestleMania. He has been a part of many multi-man matches and some Tag Team Championship matches, but he has never had a rivalry that has culminated in a one-on-one encounter at Wrestlemania.

Cesaro wants to change that in 2021.

Currently, Cesaro is provoking the wrath of Seth Rollins on Friday Night SmackDown and according to what Cesaro said in an interview with Sports Illustrated, Seth Rollins is also the man that Cesaro says he wants to face at WrestleMania.

“The universal title match is currently spoken for, but this will start the road to next year’s WrestleMania for me,” says Cesaro (40-year-old Claudio Castagnoli). “I want a singles match this ’Mania, and I would love for it to be against Seth Rollins.”

Having a long history with Rollins, Cesaro knows the kind of talent that Rollins is and the kind of match they can put together.

“Seth is a tremendous talent, and he is so extremely versatile,” Cesaro says. “Good guy, bad guy, he always finds a way to evolve, and he’s super smooth in the ring. He’s always pushing us to get better, and I think he is incredible at what he does.”

Whether or not they will have a singles match at Fastlane or WrestleMania remains to be seen, but they are feuding currently and their feud’s next development will take place likely on the next episode of Friday Night Smackdown. Fightful has live coverage every Friday.
