TNA World Heavyweight Title Officially Reinstated By IMPACT Wrestling
IMPACT Wrestling now has two world championships.
Moose has been carrying the TNA World Championship belt as an unrecognized title for almost a year, and it’s paid off.
Moose threatened to hold up IMPACT Wrestling if he didn’t get an IMPACT World Championship match. Scott D’Amore did him one better and officially reinstated the TNA World Championship.

Moose wanted a title match and now he has one.
Plus we have a 2nd official World Title in @IMPACTWRESTLING #IMPACTonAXSTV https://t.co/KEuAPoEg1b— Scott D’Amore (@ScottDAmore) February 24, 2021
The current IMPACT Wrestling Championship technically carries the lineage of the former TNA World Title, and we’re not sure how that will be worked out. IMPACT/TNA used the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship during their first five years, which is currently held by Nick Aldis, and no longer associated with the company.
Moose would defeat Jake Something later in the night to retain the TNA World Heavyweight Title in his first official title defense.
