New WWE United States Champion Crowned At Elimination Chamber 2021
Matt Riddle has captured the WWE United States Championship.
Bobby Lashley’s dominant run as United States Champion has come to an end thanks, in part, to the no disqualification stipulation that comes with the territory of Triple Threat bouts.
While it appeared that Bobby Lashley had everything under control and was going to make John Morrison, a substitute for Keith Lee, submit to the Hurt Lock, Riddle used MVP’s crutch to hit Bobby Lashley over the back and send him to the outside of the Ring allowing him to hit the Bro Derek on Morrison and capture his first singles championship during his entire run with WWE.
It was first reported by Fightful Select that Morrison was planned to take the place of Keith Lee as the company has stated that he is out with “injuries” following the attack from Bobby Lashley two weeks ago on Monday Night Raw.
