MLW Fusion Results for 2/17/21 Team Filthy Presents Filthy Island
Tom Lawlor and Team Filthy present a special edition of MLW Fusion with Filthy Island at 7pm EST!
Good evening Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage for tonight’s edition of MLW Fusion featuring a Team Filthy produced show under the title of Filthy Island!
– We open tonight’s show with Tom and Dom in Hawaii where Tom tells Dom that the catering has been held at the port and needs Dom to take care of it.
– We go to Tom and Dan Lambert at the commentary table where they break down the card for tonight’s special show with King Mo and Low Ki headlining.
Dominic Garrini vs Mauna Loa
Mauna drops Dom repeatedly before Dom goes out to ringside and complains to Tom before he gets back inside and Dom chokes Mauna for the tap and the win.
Winner: Dominic Garrini defeats Mauna Loa via submission.
– We get a taped promo by Los Parks in Spanish where LA talks about how he wants to have two titles and that he’s coming for Alex Hammerstone and his National Openweight title.
– Alex Hammerstone and Richard Holliday talk about their experience since being in Hawaii.
Kevin Ku (w/ Dominic Garrini) vs Zenshi
Zenshi comes out of nowhere and drops Kevin before sending him out of the ring and Kevin slams Zenshi onto the apron before Zenshi gets two off of a roll up before Kevin hits a dragon screw into a half crab. Zenshi kicks his way free before Kevin locks in a full Boston crab and Zenshi gets two off of a small package before Kevin clotheslines him and kicks Zenshi in the spine. Kevin chops Zenshi before Zenshi gets several two counts in quick succession before they exchange strikes until Zenshi drops Kevin for a near fall. Kevin then sends Zenshi into the post before rocking Kevin with kicks and Kevin hits a bridging dragon suplex for the pin and the win.
Winner: Kevin Ku defeats Zenshi via pinfall.
– We get a promo by the Von Erichs on a mountain before they decide to drive to the event and be there to help Low Ki.
Aztec Jungle Fight Match
Mil Muertes vs Savio Vega
Mil attacks Savio from behind and the feed cuts out as we go to commercial.
We come back to the restored feed where the two are brawling in the dark in the jungle before the feed cuts out again as we go back to commercial.
We come back to the match for a third time with the two brawling in the dark before Mil knocks Savio out and covers him for the pin and the win.
Winner: Mil Muertes defeats Savio Vega via pinfall.
– After the match Mil digs a grave to put Savio in as we go to commercial.
– We get a video package promo by Josef Samael who talks about how there will be consequences for what Jordan Oliver did last week.
– We get a satellite interview with TJP where he talks about how he reacted to Bu Ku Dao and himself losing their MLW World Tag Team Championship match where TJP talks about his career and how he’s at a point in his career where he wants to help people succeed. TJP denies accusations of bullying Bu before saying that he can’t teach Bu anymore before mocking his stature and cutting the interview short.
Gringo Loco vs Rocky Romero
They exchange wrist and hammer locks before having a test of strength and Gringo hits several monkey flips before Rocky hits a head scissors before Rocky hits one of his own. Gringo hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for two before they exchange strikes and Rocky gets a deep two count when Gringo is complaining to Tom about having no ropes. Rocky and Gringo exchange chops and forearms until Rocky hits the Forever Clothesline and a head scissors onto the ground before Gringo kicks Rocky and hits a flipping senton onto Rocky onto a sofa at ringside. Back in the ring Gringo then hits a British fall for two before missing a standing moonsault and dropping Rocky with an enzuigiri for two before Rocky hits a knee lift onto a tornado DDT for the pin and the win.
Winner: Rocky Romero defeats Gringo Loco via pinfall.
– We get an update on Lio Rush who has signed an open contract with MLW and AAA.
– Tom tries to convince Richard and Alex to invest in Filthy Island, Richard denying him while Alex secretly sides with Tom as long as he keeps supplying him with spam.
– We get this week’s PWI top ten with Lio Rush at number three, Tom Lawlor two, and Alex Hammerstone at number one, respectively.
King Mo vs Low Ki
Mo takes Ki down and locks in a submission before dumping Ki onto the mat and focusing on his ankle before Ki takes Mo’s back and takes him down and chokes him for the tap and the win.
Winner: Low Ki defeats King Mo via submission.
– Team Filthy attack Low after the match before he’s saved by the Von Erichs who pull up in their jeep and everyone brawls as we go off the air.
