Braun Strowman Returns On Final Episode Of WWE SmackDown Before Royal Rumble 2021
Braun Strowman is back!
Just in time for the 2021 Royal Rumble Match, Braun Strowman returned to WWE to wreak havoc at the end of the January 29 episode of SmackDown.
The former WWE Universal Champion last competed at the 2020 WWE Survivor Series event as part of Team Raw, which defeated SmackDown in a clean sweep. The following night on Raw, Strowman headbutted WWE official Adam Pearce and was “suspended indefinitely” for his actions following the show.
According to a report from Dave Meltzer, Braun was actually sidelined with a knee injury. As a result, he was reportedly written out of his plans championship match against Drew McIntyre at WWE TLC.
Braun Strowman is a WWE Raw Superstar but appeared at the end of SmackDown as there was a cross-promotion brawl as is sometimes customary prior to the Royal Rumble.
