Tama Tonga: Bootleg Club Can Use ‘Too Sweet,’ We’ve Moved On

Tama Tonga cares not for the Bullet Club reunion taking place in AEW and IMPACT.

At IMPACT Hard to Kill, Kenny Omega teamed with The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson) in a six-man main event. All three men showed up in Bullet Club gear with Gallows & Anderson wearing jackets while Omega wore a throwback Bullet Club Halloween shirt.

Speaking on Tama’s Island, Tama Tonga joked that Gallows didn’t get the memo and spent money on new gear after giving his thoughts on people saying Gallows & Anderson can still lay claim to Bullet Club as OGs of the group.

“I’m gonna correct everybody that’s been saying, ‘He’s an OG, he still has say.’ Are ya’ll fucking crazy? You haven’t been in the group for five years. You’ve gone on to ‘greener pastures.’ You don’t have no say in Bullet Club. You no longer claim Bullet Club. You were OC, Bullet Group, Bullet Brigade, Bullet Nobody Cares. How many times you gonna try? It’s not gonna work. I don’t care if you’re an OG. Prince Devitt [Finn Balor] has no say, AJ Styles has no say. Kenny Omega damn sure ain’t got no motherfuckin’ say in nothing,” said Tama.

Tama said he would take them to Bullet Club Court and let the fans decide on the punishment for the Bootleg Club. He also noted that since Gallows & Anderson weren’t officially kicked out of the group, he would have been open to a reunion with them had they returned to New Japan.

“How you gonna have a reunion with guys we kicked out? That’s the dumbest shit,” he said.

On January 14, AEW filed for the trademark on “Too Sweet” for use in merchandising and entertainment services.

When asked for his thoughts on Omega, Good Brothers, and Young Bucks using the hand signal and AEW filing a trademark, Tama said, “‘The Too Sweet heard round the world,’ fuck all that nonsense. It’s wack, we’ve done moved on. I don’t care. We’re not using Too Sweet. By all means, take it. I would get the company to come in and cease and desist ya’ll, but I ain’t no snitch.”

Following the Bullet Club reunion at AEW New Year’s Smash night one, Tama said they could call the reunion what they wanted, but they shouldn’t call it Bullet Club. You can find his full comments on the reunion by clicking here.
