UFC president Dana White told fans that the winner of the UFC 257 main event between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor “is probably next” for a shot at the lightweight title. He made the statement during a fan Q&A.

Poirier and McGregor will fight for the second time when the UFC returns to Fight Island for a string of three events which start on January 16 and ends with UFC 257 on January 23 which is headlined by the lightweight contenders, Poirier and McGregor.
