Chris Bey Will Proudly Fly The Flag For IMPACT Wrestling Should He Ever Wrestle Kenny Omega

Chris Bey is willing to show Kenny Omega or any other All Elite Wrestling star exactly what he is made of and give them a lesson in “the art of finesse.”

Chris Bey unabashedly loves IMPACT Wrestling. He always has and has never been shy about sharing that fact or showing unboxings of classic TNA Wrestling championship belts from when he was a teenager on YouTube.

Currently, IMPACT is engaged in an on-screen rivalry with AEW, All Elite Wrestling. The large speaking point when Tony Khan, Kenny Omega, or any other AEW representative is on screen is typically one that states IMPACT cannot hang with AEW, with Tony Khan even jokingly stating that he may just buy the company altogether.

Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Chris Bey made it clear that he is very open to having a match with Kenny Omega or any other AEW name and would gladly fly the flag of IMPACT Wrestling while showing off just how good he is in between the ropes.

“If we wrestle, I’ll be wearing the IMPACT flag when we do,” Bey says. “I’ll test my skills against anyone from AEW. They can all learn a lesson from me in the art of finesse.”

Ultimately, Bey says he is grateful for IMPACT Wrestling giving him a chance to continue growing as a performer and allowing him to work with some of the best names in the industry.

“I have been given a chance in IMPACT to work with the best,” Bey says. “I want to be the best, so that means I have to constantly evolve. I love what I do, so when I get into the ring with guys like Willie Mack, Eddie Edwards, Rohit or TJP, I’m also learning from their style. They’re teaching me how to grow as a performer.

“I want to keep growing. I don’t think I’m the best in the world, but right now, I’m the best version of myself. I have the ability to be better tomorrow, and then better than that the day after. Over time, I want people to think of Chris Bey when they think of wrestling.”

He concluded, “I never got into this business to become famous,” Bey says. “I am here to give people the same feeling that wrestling gave me. Watching is how I escaped from my reality, and I want to give that back. That’s my purpose in this world.

“I wouldn’t be where I am today without wrestling, so it’s very important to give that energy right back. I want to reach out, connect, and respond to everybody. I want to motivate people to go chase their dreams.”

Kenny Omega will compete at IMPACT Hard To Kill in six-man tag action. Chris Bey will also be in action that night as he tries to recapture the X-Division Championship in a three-way dance. You can view the full card at this link.
