WWE TLC 2020 Results New RAW Tag Team Champions, Reigns & McIntyre Retain, The Fiend Incinerated

The Scottish Warrior takes on The Phenomenal One and The Tribal Chief takes on KO!

Good evening Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage for WWE TLC!

Pre-Show

– We get a video package for the Universal Championship TLC match between the champion Roman Reigns and the challenger for his title Kevin Owens in tonight’s co-main event.

– We get a video package for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship Match between the champion Sasha Banks and the challenger Carmella.

– Backstage MVP is interviewed via satellite by the announce desk about how important tonight is for The Hurt Business with every member of the group in action. MVP says that Cedric and Shelton are going to defeat The New Day and become the new RAW Tag Team champions.

– We get a video package for the WWE Championship match between the champion Drew McIntyre and the challenger AJ Styles who will be in a TLC match in tonight’s main event.

– Mr.Money in the Bank The Miz and John Morrison come out to the announce desk and cut a promo about how valuable he is with the briefcase and teases at cashing in later tonight. Miz talks about how hard it is to pin Drew McIntyre and talks about Drew’s title defense against AJ.

– We get a video package for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match between the champions Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax and the challengers Asuka and a mystery partner now that Lana is unable to compete tonight.

– WWE 24/7 champion R-Truth shows up and talks about tonight’s matches and proclaiming that he’s fluent in Japanese before leaving.

Eight-Man Tag Team Match

E rushes Sami before Sami gets out and Corbin comes in and the two lock up before E backs Corbin into the corner for a clean break. Corbin clotheslines E before E hits a belly to belly suplex and tags in Chad as Cesaro gets the tag for the other side and the two grapple. Chad drags Cesaro over and tags in DB who wrings the arm of Cesaro before kicking him in the corner and a flying clothesline. Cesaro catches a kick before DB counters a swing and Cesaro backs him against the ropes before Shin hits Daniel from ringside. Shin comes in and locks in a cravat before Sami comes in and beats on DB in mount before DB is isolated until he gets the hot tag to Otis.

Otis runs over Shin and pancakes him before hitting the Caterpillar and tagging in Chad before Shin drops Otis with a kick and sends him out of the ring. Cesaro and Shin double team Chad for a near fall that Otis breaks up before everyone hits a move until E gets the hot tag. E then hits a uranage to Sami before hitting the Big Ending for the pin and the win.

Winner: Big-E, Daniel Bryan, Otis, and Chad Gable defeat Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura, Cesaro and Baron Corbin.

– We get a video package for the Firefly Inferno Match between Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt as the pre-show goes off the air.

Main Show

– We open tonight’s event with a video package for all of the matches on tonight’s card, headlined by the TLC match for the Universal Championship.

WWE Championship TLC Triple Threat Match

Drew McIntyre (c) vs AJ Styles w/Omos vs The Miz w/John Morrison

AJ immediately goes after the knee of Drew before Drew kicks him away and AJ kicks and chops Drew in the corner before Drew turns AJ inside out. Drew tosses AJ across the ring and chops him down in the corner before whipping him sternum first into the corner. Drew beats AJ down in the corner before AJ catches him coming in with a boot and Drew knocks AJ off of the top and down onto the floor. Drew brings chair into the ring and sets up a table at ringside before AJ counters a suplex and Drew tosses him into chairs sets up on a table at ringside. Drew drops AJ across the barricade before bringing a ladder into the ring and setting it up in the center of the ring.

AJ hits Drew with a ladder when he climbs the ladder before wedging a chair in the corner and Drew slingshots AJ who lands on the ladder. Drew rips AJ down and goes to powerbomb him into the ladder before sending AJ head first into the chair in the corner before climbing up the ladder. AJ throws chairs at Drew to knock him down before sending the ladder into Drew and teasing a Styles Clash before Drew counters into the Future Shock DDT. Drew throws a ladder at AJ before AJ chop blocks him and drives his leg into the ladder before locking in a half crab with Drew’s leg in the ladder. AJ locks in a Calf Crusher with Drew’s leg trapped in a chair before they have a tug of war over a ladder and AJ drags Drew to the corner where he wraps his leg around the post.

AJ hits Drew with a ladder at ringside before lying him on a table and climbing a ladder propped in the corner before Drew sits up and throws a chair at AJ. Drew chucks a table over the top rope and into the ring before setting it up and AJ hits a drop toe hold into the ladder and Drew hits an overhead belly to belly suplex onto the ladder in the corner. AJ hits a Phenomenal Forearm before Drew tosses AJ over the top rope and through a table at ringside before climbing the ladder and The Miz rushes out to the ring. Miz sends Drew through a table before cashing in and the match becomes a triple threat match before Omos pulls Miz down and drops him across the top rope and through a table. John hits Omos with a chair which just angers him before Omos stalks him up the ramp and AJ and Drew climb opposite sides of the ladder.

Miz sets up a second ladder beside the first one and nearly gets the title before Drew knocks AJ and Miz down before AJ and Drew exchange. AJ then nearly gets the title before Drew knocks the ladder over and sends AJ out of the ring and takes out Miz with the Claymore before climbing the ladder and grabbing his title.

Winner: Drew McIntyre retains his WWE Championship by defeating The Miz and AJ Styles when he climbs the ladder and grabs the title.

– Backstage Paul Heyman is interviewed ahead of Roman defending his title against Kevin Owens in tonight’s main event.

WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship Match

Sasha Banks (c) vs Carmella w/Reginald

Sasha rushes Carmella who slides out of the ring as soon as the match starts before gingerly getting back into the ring and dropping Sasha when she’s too aggressive. Sasha pulls Carmella out of the ring and hits an arm drag off of the apron and onto the floor before tossing her back into the ring and Carmella slaps Sasha. Carmella’s valet catches her when Sasha sends her out of the ring before Carmella hits a head scissors and sends Sasha into the steps before tossing her back inside for two. Carmella stomps Sasha in the corner and locks in a rear chin lock before Sasha comes back with a snap mare into a meteora before Carmella drives Sasha onto the apron. Back in the ring Carmella gets two before stretching Sasha and Sasha comes back with a meteora in the corner into a series of suplexes.

Sasha drags Carmella to the corner and goes up top before hitting a frog splash for a near fall before Carmella hits a sit-out face buster for a near fall. Carmella locks in a tarantula in the corner before choking Sasha who slaps her and beats on Sasha on the apron before superkicking her and rolling her back inside. Sasha grabs the bottom rope for a near fall for Carmella before Sasha sends her face first into the middle turnbuckle and gets two off of a sunset flip. Carmella goes for a frankensteiner before Carmella rolls through for a near fall before they exchange pin attempts until Carmella locks in the Code of Silence. Sasha goes for the Banks Statement before Carmella locks in a double chicken wing and misses a bronco buster in the corner.

Sasha then locks in the Banks Statement before Carmella is forced to tap for the win.

Winner: Sasha Banks retains her Smackdown Women’s Championship by defeating Carmella via submission.

– Backstage Billie Kay lobbies to become Asuka’s partner for tonight before she’s told that the position has already been filled.

WWE RAW Tag Team Championship Match

The New Day (c) vs The Hurt Business (Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin w/MVP)

Cedric is almost immediately pinned by New Day when he’s overly aggressive before Shelton gets the hot tag and Xavier and Cedric brawl at ringside. New Day double up on Shelton for two before Shelton comes back and sends Xavier face first into the bottom turnbuckle. Cedric tags in and hits a PK for two before THB take turns beating on Xavier until he gets the hot tag to Kofi who drops Shelton and knocks Cedric off of the apron before Shelton catches Kofi when he goes for a Boom Drop and hits Cedric with the S.O.S. for a near fall. Kofi then hits Shelton with an enzuigiri and goes up top before Shelton hits a superplex and Cedric tags himself in before hitting Kofi with the Lumbar Check for the pin and the win.

Winner: The Hurt Business defeat The New Day via pinfall to become the new RAW Tag Team champions.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match

Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax (c) vs Asuka & Charlotte Flair

Asuka and Shayna start off by exchanging strikes and submission attempts on the mat before Charlotte and Nia come in and Nia drives Charlotte back into the corner before Charlotte brings Nia to the corner. Asuka comes back in and is overpowered by Nia who sends her shoulder first into the post and Shayna stomps the now injured arm of Asuka. Asuka gets dropped after getting two off of a roll up and gets sent into the post a second time before Nia sends her into the barricade. Back in the ring Shayna and Nia cut the ring in half until Asuka comes back with a spinning back first and gets the hot tag to Charlotte. Charlotte chops Nia as Ric looks on from backstage and hits a running knee before hitting Shayna with a fall away slam before dropping Nia with a boot for two.

Charlotte takes Nia and Shayna out with a moonsault at ringside before Nia sends Charlotte into the corner and Asuka gets the hot tag. Nia hits Charlotte with a Samoan drop before Asuka hits a missile dropkick and Shayna locks in the rear naked before Charlotte comes back in and knocks Nia off of the apron before Charlotte locks in the Figure Eight. Nia then saves Shayna before Asuka takes out Nia and Charlotte hits Shayna with Natural Selection for the pin and the win.

Winner: Charlotte Flair and Asuka defeat Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax via pinfall to become the new Women’s Tag Team champions.

WWE Universal Championship TLC Match

Roman Reigns (c) w/Jey Uso vs Kevin Owens

KO attacks Roman when he’s coming out to the ring before driving him into the barricade and steps before hitting a frog splash off of the apron. KO attacks Jey with a chair before clearing the announce table and Roman hits him with a drive by out of nowhere. Roman hits Kevin with the steps and a ladder once they’re in the ring before back dropping him across a pair of chairs and Kevin comes back by hitting Roman with a chair. Kevin hits a fisherman’s suplex through a pair of chairs set up before Jey attacks Kevin when he climbs the ladder and Roman drops KO with a superman punch. Kevin comes back and superkicks Jey before hitting Roman with a stunner before hitting a pop-up powerbomb to Jey through the announce table.

Roman and Kevin exchange on the ladder before Roman powerbombs KO onto a ladder on the mat before putting him through a table at ringside. Kevin gets back in and grabs the ankle of Roman when he goes to climb the ladder before Roman gets down and KO slaps him. Roman spears KO through a table before missing a spear through the barricade and Roman gets back in and drags Kevin down when he nearly grabs the belt. KO superkicks Roman before Roman counters a pop up powerbomb and superman punches KO before KO hits a pop-up powerbomb through a table. KO nearly gets the title before Jey drags him down and KO hits him with a stunner before climbing the ladder and Roman low blows him before locking in a guillotine on the ladder.

Roman then chokes KO unconscious before he falls down and Roman grabs the belt to retain his title.

Winner: Roman Reigns retains his Universal Championship by defeating Kevin Owens when he climbs the ladder and grabs his title.

– It’s announced that the Intercontinental Championship will be on the line on next week’s Smackdown where Sami will defend against Big-E.

Firefly Inferno Match

The Fiend vs Randy Orton

Randy punches The Fiend who laughs at Randy before countering an early RKO attempt and beating Randy down in the corner. Randy counters Sister Abigail into a backbreaker before they end up at ringside and The Fiend sets the barricade on fire before Randy dodges The Fiend hitting him with a pick axe. The Fiend sets Randy on his rocking chair at ringside before setting it on fire and Randy gets out of the way before hitting Randy with the stairs. Randy comes back and sends the chairs into The Fiend repeatedly before hitting him with a chain wrapped around his fist. Randy nearly pushes the face of The Fiend into the fire before The Fiend drops Randy once they’re in the ring and sends him back out of the ring. The Fiend sets an axe handle on fire before Randy hits a draping DDT off of the apron and teases an RKO before The Fiend counters into the Mandible Claw.

They try to back each other into the fire before The Fiend catches fire and goes after Randy who gets back in the ring. Randy hits The Fiend with an RKO once they’re back in the ring before rolling out of the ring and bringing a gas can back into the ring. Randy then pours gasoline all over The Fiend before grabbing a book of matches and standing over The Fiend before lighting him on fire and leaving as we go off the air.

Winner: Randy Orton defeats The Fiend when The Fiend catches fire.
