Ethan Page: Wherever I Land In 2021, The North Will Not Split
Ethan Page is set to become a free agent at the end of the year, but no matter what, he will remain part of The North alongside Josh Alexander.
Page is not expected to re-sign with IMPACT Wrestling when his contract expires and a break up with Alexander has been teased on television. Following Page’s loss to Karl Anderson at Final Resolution, Page had a “mental breakdown” as Alexander looked on in disbelief.
Speaking to Cassidy Haynes and Dom Mallon on The Push, Page explained that The North will live forever.
“If IMPACT is not the place where I land….I’ve been giving fans my word, and obviously it’s professional wrestling, so take whatever I say with a grain of salt, but, I will never turn my back on Josh and Josh will never turn his back on me. We were a team before IMPACT. We created this team before IMPACT. We invested in each other as performers, partners, all before IMPACT. If you think for one second we are going to let IMPACT dictate whether we break up, you’re out of your damn mind. Everyone watched Final Resolution and saw the mental breakdown. Whatever. I’m telling you guys, whichever way this goes, The North are not splitting. Wherever I land in 2021, we will not break up. That’s my best friend in real life, on-screen and off-screen. This is not something I’m willing to toy with to make a couple of dollars. Wherever I end up, whatever happens, if I stay in IMPACT, The North is The North. We’re the best. There’s so much we can do and will do. If I end up somewhere else, he might end up there in a couple of years,” he said.
It is unknown where Page will end should he not re-sign with IMPACT.
Fightful will have live coverage of IMPACT beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
