UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman’s heated rivalry with top contender Colby Covington is no secret to MMA fans around the world. Despite fighting five hard rounds in the Octagon, it appears as if their feud is nowhere near over.
Usman (17-1) took to Twitter to post a video of himself at an airport searching for his former teammate Covington. The champion went so far as to tag UFC President Dana White, his manager Ali Abdelaziz, and UFC matchmakers Sean Shelby and Mick Maynard.

Dana White Comments On Recent Roster Cuts, UFC Fighter Pay
UFC President Dana White recently made news when he announced the promotion would be cutting as many as 60 fighters from their roster. White expanded on those remarks with the following statement (h/t BJPenn.com).
“We’ve been making these same moves every weekend for 20 years. We haven’t in the past few months. It has nothing to do with fighter pay or anything else. It just hasn’t been done in a few months during the pandemic. If I was trying to save money, I would be laying off employees like every other company in America right now. That’s how you save money during something like this. I have honored every fighter contract and have not laid off one employee during this pandemic.”
Meisha Tate Hints At Potential Return
Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Meisha Tate shocked the world when she abruptly retired after a brutal decision loss to Raquel Pennington at UFC 205 in November 2016. Tate, 34, was brought in by the Asian-based MMA promotion ONE Championship to become their Vice President on November 7, 2018. “Cupcake” recently cryptically posted on Instagram that she was returning to training at Xtreme Couture MMA in Las Vegas.
Diaz Brothers Recovery Coach Makes Controversial Remarks About Rachael Ostovich’s Future
Jose Garcia, The athletic recovery coach of the fan-favorite Diaz brothers, took to Instagram to share a very controversial photoshopped photo of recent UFC releasee Rachael Ostovich. Ostovich (4-6 MMA, 1-3 UFC), was a victim of the ongoing UFC roster purge that promotional UFC President Dana White recently warned of.
Cody Garbrandt and Henry Cejudo Trade Verbal Jabs On Twitter
Former UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt and former UFC flyweight and bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo continue their war of words on social media.
This time, the Olympic gold medalist-turned-UFC double champion took shots at Garbrandt, telling him to “stand in line.” This came after UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo expressed an intent to “shut up” Cejudo after his upcoming UFC 256 title defense against top contender Brandon Moreno.
Hey @Cody_Nolove wait in line! Looks like the #rentschamp still misses me more.@Daico_Deiveson if you can tell me in English I may consider it. But until then, go get hooked on phonics. #4everTripleC #bendtheknee —— https://t.co/xvPLv6FYvZ

Garbrandt responded by challenging Cejudo to a fight on March 6:
Why do we need to wait March 6th, I gave you the date you pick the weight. I don’t give a fuck about the title, if you proclaim yourself the king then don’t be a coward. Don’t run away when you are in your prime, the biggest fights lay ahead. https://t.co/JfR3HTHSHQ

“Triple C” responded:
My legacy is written and will never be broken. You are what I call a appetizer before the main course. You simply have no juice for me playboy. Stay up, keep that chin nice and strong for me. — —— https://t.co/x9d5JZJDOw
— Henry Cejudo (@HenryCejudo) December 10, 2020
Garbrandt finished off by ripping Cejudo for retiring before fighting him:
Your legacy will be written as a coward who stepped down in his prime when his biggest fights are ahead. No king steps down in his prime there is no honor in that, the self proclaimed king is weak and sensed the declined as the divisions rise, long live the coward!! https://t.co/lyogSJvT3Z
