Drew McIntyre Will Now Meet AJ Styles In A TLC Match For The WWE Championship At TLC; Updated Card

The stakes have been raised for the WWE Championship match at WWE TLC on December 20.

During today’s WWE Tribute to the Troops event, it was announced that AJ Styles and Drew McIntyre’s WWE Championship bout at the WWE TLC event on December 20 will now be a TLC match. It is the second one on the card as Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns will also meet in a TLC Match for the WWE Universal Championship.

AJ Styles has previously competed in one WWE Championship TLC match at the 2016 event when he successfully defended the gold against Dean Ambrose, aka Jon Moxley, in a match that would also see him rip his tights. As for Drew McIntyre, he is probably more closely associated with WeeLC, a match that took place between Hornswoggle and El Torito on the Kickoff show of a WWE Extreme Rules show in 2014. Drew McIntyre was a stablemate of Hornswoggle’s in 3MB and this match would see McIntyre put himself through a table with a tope for no reason at all.
