Roman Reigns Will Meet Kevin Owens In A TLC Match For WWE Universal Championship At WWE TLC On 12/20
Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens will meet in WWE’s equivalent of a demolition derby on December 20.
Kevin Owens is stepping up to Roman Reigns for the first time on the blue brand as he looks to challenge Roman Reigns for his Universal Championship on Sunday, December 20 at WWE TLC In the event’s namesake match.
This match was made official on the Friday, December 4 episode of Friday Night SmackDown when Kevin Owens once again got in the face of Roman Reigns and his family. In previous weeks, Kevin Owens has decided that Roman Reigns should not be allowed to use SmackDown to handle his personal problems and has decided to try to be a factor in rectifying the situation.
After laying out Jey Uso with a chair on the November 27 episode of SmackDown, Kevin Owens had a verbal confrontation with Paul Heyman on WWE Talking Smack where he made his intentions very clear.
“If you think me getting involved in this, whatever you want to call it, this thing you’ve got with Roman Reigns, is going to be somehow a positive for him, because you just said it, right? ‘A champion is only as good as the contenders he puts down.’ Let me just tell you this, because everything else you said is absolutely true. Just know this, it’s not going to be good for Roman or you, because once Roman Reigns finds his balls again and stops having his cousin try to do his dirty work, I’ll be there.”
Owens continued, “Do you know what I am, Paul? I’m not a good guy, I’m not a bad guy. I’m the guy that’s going to beat Roman Reigns and take the Universal Championship from him.”
Fightful will have live coverage of WWE TLC.
