Dolph Ziggler Talks Being Dumped By Amy Schumer Because The Sex Was ‘Too Athletic’
It's no secret that comedian Amy Schumer and Smackdown Live Superstar Dolph Ziggler used to be a couple. In fact, it's a relationship that has been referenced by the former throughout her stand up career.
During an appearance on Sam Roberts' Wrestling Podcast, Ziggler spoke about his relationship with Schumer and the one thing he didn't like about the way it ended. Ziggler said that after Schumer appeared on The Howard Stern Show and about their sex being "too athletic" for her liking, he received dozens of voicemails.
"I was actually flying home, and turned on my phone off the plane to 78 voicemails or so," he said regarding the time that Schumer first made the comments. "This is 77 more than usual. And no, it's great. She's so funny."
He went on to say a number of family members heard the interview, including his mother, aunt and grandmother.
"Having them hear… I was like, 'oh, this is so disgusting.' And somehow went out of their way to listen to it. I don't even… Like, does my grandma have Sirius Radio?" he said. "But otherwise, we're buddies. She's so funny and I was a fan of hers and we… She was supposed to do a show in Phoenix [Arizona] and she canceled. I kind of gave her crap on the internet saying 'don't go see her, she'll cancel the show,' but I guess she was sick for real, so…"
Ziggler made sure to clarify that the two remain friends even after he was dumped by her.
